Not saying i want it but i think we'll sign Toney late in the window but that will probably depend on shifting 2 or 3 of our wingers/forwards first. I just dont see where else Toney goes other than maybe West Ham.
Have to admit to not being convinced personally on Toney.
I am however convinced by Ange and the team doing the transfers now.
If Toney fits what they want (and they will have far more insight into his character and what they want from him than me) then I am happy with that.

have a feeling we aren't bothering with a forward now Richie has made it clear he's going nowhere, I expect Son to be CF with Richie as his backup, and one off Veliz and parrott to round it off.

main big money to go on attacking mids/winger

I'm not mad at it because the striker market is kinda dead, I think if he's fitter this season Richarlison is as good as a Toney, and maybe we should try and invest in our kids (veliz, parrott, scarlett)
The club will have far more insight into Richarlison's injuries last season and whether they are a one off or likely recurring. Anyway with where his head was at the start of last season and then his injury issues he missed a lot of games and was not at his best for lots also.
If he is starting the season in a good place and injury free then he could provide a very good option up front. Proved that when on it last season he was good but we need far more consistency from him

If Eze or Doue could play in the CM role then I could understand bringing one of them in. That would help us out until Gray and or Bergvall are ready.

Not sure we need CM's though, we have enough Sarr/Maddison/Bentancur...Gray and Bergvall will get chances and play earlier than people expect IMO.

Doue is the priority for me, Eze I don't really understand but if he's being signed than I expect somehow the manager to play him in as a CM and a winger.

Richarlison, Son, Eze, Maddison, Doue, Werner, Kulusevski, Johnson

8 players for 3 positions (all players that want to start or get substantial minutes). I can't see us getting 2 so i hope we get Eze.

3 positions?

Why 3

Maddison, Doue, Kulusevski ,and Eze also play 10. So it’s 8 players for 4 positions. 2 quality players for each position.

That’s how ambitious clubs build squad to compete in multiple competitions. If all those players don’t want to start then we don’t want them. If they don’t start then they need to perform better.

Son is 32 so needs rotation. Maddison and Eze would definitely pick up injuries during the season based on their history as well.

Tbh 2/3 is more like the minimum we need

Now that you know it was a photoshop, has your riveting psychological analysis of him changed in any way?

What psychological analysis?

I’ve read interviews of Olise saying that he doesn’t like football and he’s doing this to earn as much money as he can in his career. That’s why he hardly celebrates goals.

Similar mentality to BAE that we used to have. I’m not sure you are a Spurs fan though so you probably don’t remember him?

I don’t have any issue with it but you can’t have too many characters like that in your squad. You need some that give a shit.

What he actually said:

Olise wrote on Instagram: “Thank you to everyone at @cpfc. Thankful for the journey that I went through as a player at this club and the love that everyone has shown me since day one. Thanks to all the staff, players and especially to all the fans that have supported me I’ll be forever grateful I wish everyone at the club the best for the future ❤️💙

City have Foden, Haaland, Doku, Grealish, KDB, and Alvarez for 3 positions
Chelsea have Mudryk, Maduke, Sterling, Jackson, Palmer and Nkunku for 3 positions
Liverpool have Jota, Nunez, Salah, Jota, Gakpo and Elliot for 3 positions
Man united have Hojlund, Garnacho, Anthony, Rashford and Fernades for 3 positions

The only team that have those numbers in regards to options is Gooner scum but they are actively looking to flog, Smith Rowe, Nketiah and Reiss Nelson who are all not realistic options to start anyway.

It simply doesn't happen but go ahead and wish away.

What psychological analysis you ask:

"But same way a squad can only have one character like that who openly only gives a fuck about themselves"

If I remember correctly, BAE was a really good player for us, must have been difficult for him as he must have only given a fuck about himself and not his teammates, his craft etc.

You were waffling, yet again, like you have some knowledge about what a player is like as a person and more pertinently as a professional based on some quotes.

Are you the same person that was demanding to know how many matches another poster had watched of Doue in order to ridicule their opinion and yet here you are, hypocritically passing judgement on a player you know fuck all about personally.
