No doctor is going to let him pass a medical if there’s anything massively wrong with him, and especially if we are spending 60 million quid on the bloke. It isn’t worth the doctor losing his reputation. Even though we joke about our medical team, it just won’t happen. Personally I think we should stay well clear

Over the last 3 seasons, Van de Ven has missed 30.

It was a knee injury that kept him out for nearly an entire year. So we'd have to hope there's no effects of that creeping up in future.

Ankle kept him out for 150+ days, after the knee according to transfer market - but again its not a recurring injury, just a bad one

Medical is surely more about how healthy they are at that time?

A biometrics issue causing injury risks might not show up.

I know, but do you think that would matter to the scum out there? Beckham got pelters for getting a Red against Argentina, even though all he did was brush the cheating twat.

In this country, disappointment turns to anger and a Witch hunt in the blink of an eye. I'd be willing to bet there isn't another country quite like us, when willing to turn on our own.

I'm just happy on 2 levels that he scored.
