I mean, he can barely get into our starting team, how's he going to manager City? :ange-hmm:
City are a weird one now. It's almost like a career dead-end but with fantastic pay and lots of qualifications.

You're not going to make any difference to their club. You'll be a franchise mascot at best.
And you're probably going to sit there watching other people do real work most of the time because you're a big fish in a much bigger pond.
And your fans are about as animated as the ramblers stopping to watch a couple of throws at the village bowls.

I imagine it's like joining Microsoft.

If I could go back to when I was asked in grade school what I wanted to be when I grew up, it's 100% software developer on the Microsoft Word team. I imagine those guys/gals work 7 hours a month...every other month.

Same as many of the other promising young English players they've hoovered up over the years - he won't, but he'll be paid an incredible sum to train and watch football matches.

If City are willing to overpay to add a HG player to the bench, we'll struggle to keep up.
We don’t know if he has any interest in going there to be a PT player/ substitute.

For me, it’s a huge red flag that a player who could start for 20 or so EPL teams would choose to do so at 26.
It shows a Kalvin Phillips level of ambition.

May as well go to Riyadh. The money’s probably better even if the beer isn’t so good.
