You're not one of those Twitter G&A merchants are you, is this how we judge players these days?

We're allowed to use context when we argue you know
Not at all. That's why I'm not getting worked up over a kid who everyone loves because he can do a few futsal moves on the pitch. The numbers don't lie and a left winger who scores one goal every 10 games in a shit league isnt an upgrade.

The numbers don't lie lol 🤦‍♀️, jeez okay let's use some context when we argue shall we?

Do you know how many goals Rennes scored last season?, Do you even know how they play?, Do you know the strength of their team etc...I'm asking because I honestly don't know and I assume that since you think it's a poor output you've seen him play and have taken his circumstances into consideration to come to a conclusion?

If you want to do the numbers thing look at Michael Olise's numbers - 14 goals in 82 for Palace for a 22 year old, yet no-one talks about his numbers because people know he's a good player and can offer a whole lot more in his game, and he is going to improve.

Context is important when you argue hence why we need to use statistical data as well as using our eyes and common sense. I don't know much about him but from reading and looking at him he definitely fits a profile that we need.

Not to mention Rennes academy have been churning out some gems recently, two of them have ended up at Real Madrid.

Chances are if PSG and Bayern are after you then you're probably pretty good, I think every professional scout is able to look past the raw numbers because you know they tend to asses players properly...

I admit he can frustrate as a player and does need to kick on this season but the raw attributes are there.

You can say that about a lot of young players though. His biggest issue is he just doesn't do anything quickly enough. Always wants that little bit too much time which you just won't get in the Premier League. I wouldn't and haven't given up on him yet, but this coming season is a huge one for him. Overall he was a dissapointment last season.

90 games at 19 years old

8 GIs in his last 18 games after full breaking into the starting 11.

The whole world seems to see him as a future world star.

Never seen him play but I’m not ready to write him off just yet
Thats not the issue.

The issue is that you've never seen him play and you've stated countless times how you really want us to sign him, how well he would fit in with what we are looking for and how youd prefer him over Eze.

Excuse moi pal, I've had it on very good authority that those sort of winning clubs are only interested in players who only give a fuck about themselves and as unbelievable as that is, I think we might be well of out of it, imagine signing a player that cares about what he earns, the horror eughh!
