Could just hold on to Hoiiberg for another season. If we can't sell him for a good price just keep him and let him go next season. He's a good player. Will come in handy.Yeh the #6 market is just brimming with cheap talent right now...
fair play too him, he wants reg footy, not gunna happen with us, never sulked , did well filling in when required, especially with davies at centre back for 8/9 games with no romero & vdv. Always positive n smiling even when not playing, if MILAN stop being tight bastards then will be no issue.
He had to come off but I don’t know if it’s a long term one.Well, we need a new DM. Looks like Bentancur picked up a bad injury just then. Devastating for him and the club.
I'm surely no expert, but it didn't involve a twist. Just kneed high up on the outside of the thigh. Fingers crossed.
VDV left cover, Gray right - potentially keep Davies as 4th choice CB and 3rd choice lb then focus on attackersStill need fullback cover, it's a big ask for young Gray to come straight in. He could slay it or could take more time.
Preferably get a fullback that can cover both sides. Do they still have those? I know previously fullbacks could play either side but now it is more of a specialist position because they are inverted and do more attacking down the wings.
He’s the worst 6 on the PL, an abomination of a DMCould just hold on to Hoiiberg for another season. If we can't sell him for a good price just keep him and let him go next season. He's a good player. Will come in handy.
Can't imagine Ange will be too happy with new signings joining on or after the preseason tour. We're leaving for Japan in two weeks and you'd assume that in an ideal world, new signings will have at least a few days of training at home prior to leaving.
If that's true (it probably isn't due to International tournament disruption) then next week is likely to be pretty busy transfer-wise.
Gray was a good start for sure but we've got a lot to do in the forwards department. Not exactly enthused by going into the season with the same front three as last season.
Just Gray as right back cover?VDV left cover, Gray right - potentially keep Davies as 4th choice CB and 3rd choice lb then focus on attackers
Ah yes because you really want new players joining the squad two weeks before the season starts.
How much contingency do you need? 3 players for every position so a squad of >30 players? I’m sure someone else eg a midfielder could cover a game or two at RBJust Gray as right back cover?
Doesn't seem like a lot of cover especially if the lad struggles his first year. One injury to Porro or Gray and there is no cover.

Not sure how many they are taking to Japan and South Korea but young Ashley Phillips should get some good game time. Can't imagine Ange will be too happy with new signings joining on or after the preseason tour. I hope he doesn't turn into another one of our eternal loanees.

Would they take the players they are trying to sell, Spence, Gil etc...?
Wonder if they could bring Vuskovic in for a few weeks of pre-season. Surely you don’t need to be registered to do thatPretty sure Ali Gold said Phillips will be our only "senior" centre back next week for our friendlies as I imagine Romero, Van de Ven and Dragusin will all get given extended leave and Dorrington is injured.
I imagine they'll all be back for the Japan trip though so Phillips will probably get a half here and there.
