You said ENIC are not cheap when buying strikers because we brought Richy for 60m.
I’m asking how many other strikers have we spent good money on in 25 year of ENIC
Now you're getting a bit desperate and completely ignoring the context of those 24 years. For half of them, we were fighting back from perennial mid table mediocrity and relegation flirting, at a time when our main rivals took a quantum leap financially. All that with a stadium virtually half the size of theirs too.

The other half of their tenure we had the best striker in the World.

We won't be getting anything near those values for Emerson, Pierre, Gio, or Reg.

Emerson we've reportedly turned down £15m already, so I don't see why £18m would be unrealistic.

Hojbjerg is a quality player in the right system who's entering his prime and has just had a good Euros. I can't see us accepting less than £15m given he's had interest from the likes of Atleti and Milan, and could well see him going for more if clubs start bidding for him. Plenty of Prem clubs too would make good use of him. He'd be worth a lot more than that were it not for his contract length.

Gio is a full Argentine regular with a great record in Spain. Emery likes him and I can see him being a makeweight in any deal with Villa for Ramsey. Barca were very keen on him last summer. The issue with Gio is his contract length and injury record but I can't see the club being willing to accept less than £10m for him given his utility to the squad.

Reggie is still young and just had a relatively good loan spells at United and Brentford. Perhaps he'll end up being another loan I certainly don't see £8m as unrealistic.

Hoijberg and Lo Celso are absolute bargains. They would be great buys for other PL clubs. But the players only want to go to the big European clubs and those clubs know we are desperate to sell so aren't offering much money.

I see that Federico Chiesa is still available for around £25m. Fantastic player, can play either wing, striker and even AM or CM. Seems like a great cut price player instead of Neto or Eze.

Interesting to read that Jamie Donley played at LB for a while in the Cambridge trial game. We don't have a lot of depth in the full back area and a lot wingers seem to turn into inverted full backs nowadays. Hopefully he can stay around the squad this season, he's a good club trained player.

Can't help but think the lack of activity with a WF/AM is because England are still in the Euros. Eze is with CAA Base (main agency we deal with) so I imagine we know every detail of his release clause. I would not be surprised to see him announced early next week.

What the fuck has that got to do with him being Jewish??

Fucking disgusting, racist comment.
Mate, I'M Jewish!

Yeah nothing at all to do with the quite frankly shambolic running of the club numerous times over the years and the fact that we've yet to win an egg and spoon race

It must be antisemitism

It's the only explanation I tell ya
Pretty sure he's suggesting that levy gets criticism because he is Jewish

Which is absolute nonsense btw
Calm your bones people...

My question is more to do with WHY Spurs, who haven't done ANYTHING to really dent the monopoly of serious title contenders or Trophy winners - as has been pointed out - STILL get vitriol and hatred thrown out way?

We're hated as a club, by fans of (apart from the obvious) some pretty random clubs...
Yet if you listen to some, then we've apparently "never won a trophy", so it can't be jealousy... So what IS IT that makes us such targets of vitriol?

The way we and our chairman are portrayed in the press: as penny pinching, 'money over substance' obsessed businessmen is as repetitive as it is tiresome...

Cos we all know who - historically - KEEPS falling into THAT lazy narrative, don't we?

It's not about Levy being Jewish, it's how he and our entire CLUB are portrayed from the outside, which then permeates into OUR fanbase.

Levy has overseen some of the leanest times (trophy wise) yet we're still hated as much, if not more than Liverpool, Man Utd, City...
Who, let's face it, can cite 'jealousy' as part reason to be despised...

Who the fuck is JEALOUS of OUR trophy haul...?
No one
. ... So again, HONEST question; why ARE we hated as a club??

Fair, I got the wrong end of the stick.

I don't think most others call him cheap etc because he is Jewish but I'm sure some do in whispers.

Levy is responsible for the club and his name is attached to it so naturally people will point the finger at him for the failures and let's be real he has had some high profile fuck ups as Chairman so some of the heat is understandable.

But let's be real there's a massive undercurrent of anti semitism towards him and the club and the way some people talk about him and some of the media report on him. Unconscious bias is a real thing and the famous trope about Jews being tight come up in people's thought process when some people talk about him.

2 things can be true.

Anyway I don't think we are hated, it's more disrespect and fans not liking us has nothing to do with our Jewish roots, it's because we are in the top 6 with no recent success so we are seen as imposters by the teams above and below us, because we are a top 6 club we are judged and scrutinised to the same standards to the other 5 clubs.

Honest answer...

The Jewish side of it I think plays a part. Historically, we've been subject to antisemitic chants right up until what, 5-10 years ago? Mostly from the usual suspects, but there are others that feel that way towards the club as well.

Then there's the fact that we've been a banter club for a while, after we crashed from a great height under Scholar.

There are a lot of people, in this country, whose go to emotions are anger and hate, we've been an easy target for a while.

But then we started getting our house in order, and built ourselves back to being a contender. This just solidifies that hatred for the also runs, as we've done what they couldn't. Rather than hate on their own club for their failures, the easy target is, once again, us.

There are Jewish connections in both Chelsea and Woolwich, but they don't have the "history" that we do as a "Jewish" club, so that gets overlooked. Christ, we had Baddiel accusing US of being racist for calling ourselves Yids, completely ignoring the FACT that the moniker was bestowed on us by them, he just hated the fact that we deweaponised it. Baddiel is older than me, so he'd have been present when the gas chamber chants were used. Didn't hear him playing the race card then.

People in this World don't really need to much urging to hate in Football, citing "tribalism" as their excuse. In my experience, it's a mask to darker leanings for far too many. The reactions to certain Black players in the last Euro's emphasised that. However, when there's no individuals to focus that hatred on during the domestic season, our club appears to be the fall back option.

The well worn trope is that: "Not all cheapskates are Jews, but all Jews are cheapskates!!

It's the way we've been portrayed throughout history...

It's as innacuarate as it is annoying!

Same as ALL Scottish people are tight, and all Scousers are thieves!
...and all 'Murricans are Gun Toting maniacs (liddle bit of Politics there!)

None of it true!
