Cause it was a bargain. Signed him for about £30m off the back of some awesome displays.
Under Conte.

Been shit ever since.
As a supporting guy to Kane and Son, argubly the two most productive attackers in recent PL history, and we played a counter attacking style, he fit really well. Now we’re looking for our wide players to lead the attack in many ways and he’s struggled with the change in style and mindset.

You’ve showed that Bayern can sign one Harry Kane a season more than us.

If every other Harry Kane you sign is Euro 2024 Kane, you’re still going to have a significantly stronger squad over time.

Also, that gap has narrowed significantly in recent times. It was much larger for most of time.

To compare us to Bayern is hilarious
Woolwich & Chelsea both spend big when they decide they want a player and don't miss out on targets, we have the capacity to do the same but we don't.

The idiot I was replying to replied to a valid post mentioning Bayern's ambition in the market by stating we can't be compared to Bayern when financially we definitely can.

I or the original poster didn't mention prestige, history etc and didn't suggest we can compete with Bayern in that aspect for the same players, it's about having the ambition to win which requires spending money on the best you can afford and based on our revenues that should be quite a lot.

I wouldn't expect you to understand that concept as you think the likes of Brennan Johnson will lead us to success.
