Woolwich & Chelsea both spend big when they decide they want a player and don't miss out on targets, we have the capacity to do the same but we don't.
Ummm… you sure about that?

Also, tell me the total revenue gal between Bayern and Tottenham over five years. Tell me that doesn’t make a big difference to power in the transfer market. It’s about half a billion.

The idiot I was replying to replied to a valid post mentioning Bayern's ambition in the market by stating we can't be compared to Bayern when financially we definitely can.

I or the original poster didn't mention prestige, history etc and didn't suggest we can compete with Bayern in that aspect for the same players, it's about having the ambition to win which requires spending money on the best you can afford and based on our revenues that should be quite a lot.

I wouldn't expect you to understand that concept as you think the likes of Brennan Johnson will lead us to success.

The point you are wilfilly missing is about prestige and the differences in a team who can hoover up the best talent in Germany and amongst the best in Europe because of the size and prestige as a club and history. You can post as many pretty charts as you want that make you feel warm and fuzzy inside that we can compete financially with juggernauts such as Bayern, Real, PSG just because we are making more money now but in terms of attraction, we are still a couple of steps behind.

Lay off the delusional pills and put that brain to some use fella.

Fair.

The rest of your post is irrelevant, I said spend what you can afford, and the revenue we generate means what we can afford is the same as the likes of Woolwich & Chelsea.

Funny how you didn't mention our 2 rivals who we generate more revenue than eh?

Funny how that lot see they need to improve in midfield, find a player they think will improve them and who wants to join (which is also important), then pay the money to make it happen, even if it's £100M or more as a fee and whatever the wages are.

We don't do that when we easily could which is what pisses off people who want to see us compete for trophies and then there's people like you who seem content to play spreadsheet football.

You seem fair minded. I respect that.

However our net spend was second last season and top 4 over five years. Is that not spending g commensurate with our financial peers?

I didn't mention them because your examples were a load of shit.

You mean Chelsea who missed out on Oliseh to....wait for it Bayern, same team who pulled out the Osimhen deal because of wages which is exactly the same issue we face - in fact let me help you out a bit - this in fact should be your argument on how we need to catch up with the teams above us and where we can do much better, it's not how much we spend, it's how much we are willing to pay our players.

Woolwich are paying the wages but they don't have abundance of quality forwards by the way and nowhere near the level of Bayern munich unless you think Trossard, Havertz or Rheiss Nelson is the equivalent to Olise, Tel, Coman, Gnabry etc...

The comparison to Bayern was stupid, accept it.

There's no point arguing. He's fully in the ENIC cult.
It's like arguing with a flat earther. Nothing will ever change their mind. No amount of fact or evidence. No proof. Nothing.

For someone which said some pretty disgusting comments in the Bentancur thread which you were told to delete, I'd stay humble if I were you.

Aren't Woolwich depending on the Covid exemption to avoid FFP issues though? They can't do that any more, so they can't just cover the deficits with Kroenke hand outs in future. If they miss Champions League qualification they will be in FFP trouble.

If they're actually offering close to 60m we should take it, question is whether he would want to move there, I assume he still wants to fight for his place in Brazil.

To be fair, playing out there didn't stop Kante from getting selected and being the best French player in the entire tournament.

I really don't think that Richarlison will be interested though, unless the wage offered is eye wateringly high.
