What an absoulute stinker of a window, we are not even being linked to players anymore!
Chocolate Melting GIF

Remember when people were saying this was the window we would finally, finally, finally...........finally.......................finally start flexing our financial muscle and using all our increased revenue to back the manager and compete for the best players

It's quite funny looking back :harrylol:
Its all about next summer. Got to finish the hotels first ffs. Their 25th summer window is when we rise. We're like a coiled spring.

Warchest, lessons have been learned, waiting for X move to set the transfer dominoes in effect, Ange is happy with the squad he has, such and such like a new signing, sell to buy, don't want to do a Leeds, waiting for the Stadium sponsor, meeting with Joe Lewis, waiting until X international competition is over, these things take time, 'doing things the right way' / FFP, Levytime etc.

Repeat ad nauseum 2x per annum until you're sitting on fucking deadline day with fingers crossed watching that bunch of cunts on SkySports News.

Money has been spent but not on buying the very best we can afford in terms of fees & wages (which is in the same ballpark as any of the teams below the top couple of teams in Europe), on players that can raise the level of the team and help us compete for trophies. It's been spent on youngsters who may or may not pan out and on players that at best maintain the top 6 challenging no trophy winning stasis and all of those fees accumulate over time so the net spend is commensurate but not in terms of quality in my opinion.

"You seem fair minded. I respect that."
Likewise.
I agree with all of this.

It’s amazing what happens when two people discuss things reasonably and fairly.

Matt1882 Matt1882 - take note mate. It’s possible for people who disagree to discuss things like adults and find points of agreement.
