Well, when there is no pressure to win trophies what else do you expect?
It's certainly positive to have a genuinely good group of youngsters but they can't win things on their own.
Early signs are that Archie Gray and Luca Bergvall are a lot closer to the first team standard than I had expected - with the added bonus that Archie can play CB as well as DM and RB. .
Djed Spence could also be back as a RB/LB that we need - certainly no hint of 'attitude' problems tonight
So we are probably closer to our final squad for next season than I had thought.
Two or three new quality players in would certainly help ...... but we still need to move on a few unwanted players to both free up squad places and to add transfer fees to our transfer kitty
And Ange will also have the ability to bring a few quality u21's into the squad to play bit parts next season so as not to go short on layer numbers with maybe 60 + games next season, which we will need as our maximum squad size for uefa is 23 players given our shortage of club trained players.

No mention of injuries for Gil or Reggie and tbh no mention at all about them not being there. Reckon neither will travel on the tour so must be close to moves elsewhere.
I think Eze was one of the targets and we would pay for him with the money from outgoings.
The outgoings haven't happened, the market for 2nd tier players is rock bottom and Spurs overvalued their driftwood.
Now they don't have the money to spend and are a scrambling for cheaper alternatives to their original targets.
Zirkzee is a false 9 and I'm not convinced he can play that role any better than Kulusevski could.

Yes, but I generally don't read too much into wether a player is selected for their national team or not.
Today's game showed we have absolutely no need for Gallagher or Jacob Ramsey. Bergvall and Gray are huge talents that are both ready to challenge for spots in the first team, the last thing we need is more #8s clogging up their pathway.
