I'd be really disappointed if we get Toney. I don't see him as an upgrade at all. He is an average striker with more self confidence than ability. There are huge character issues with him too.

That's if we keep Spence. if not we'll need cover for Porro.

There are believable cases to be made that there want a marquee player for all 3 positions. I’ve given up trying to guess.
But if it really is 1 more attacking player they had better get someone legit and not a make do from further down the list like Toney or David

Just having a warm body additional striker would raise our floor quite a bit. David and Richarlison doesn't raise the ceiling a ton, but being able to always have a legitimate striker out there rather than subbing Son there or playing with a false 9 would be a bit help.
If we added David and Chiesa for a price less than Gyokeres would cost, I think I'd go that route. Son/Werner on the left, David/Richarlison in the middle, Johnson/Chiesa on the right with Deki only in emergencies and mostly playing MF. It's not elite but it's far deeper in quality than what got us 5th last year.
