I'd be really disappointed if we get Toney. I don't see him as an upgrade at all. He is an average striker with more self confidence than ability. There are huge character issues with him too.

I think this is what he wanted BJ for to play like the Celtic number 9. Then realised he didn’t have the wingers to play that way so stuck him out on the wing.My sense in all this is Ange has realised it's not enough in this league to have a Kyogo type striker who touches the ball 5 times a game and plays on the last man, you need a proper footballer who can play with his back to goal, hold up the ball, keep possession and bring others into the game. And hence he's adjusted his striker targets accordingly.

Potentially relevant to our striker search. Think it's probably too early but if he has a really good tour, who knows...
NO.I'm thinking, let's trust the ones we got. When Richy is out we play Son there, at minute 70 we put Lankshear, Scarlett or Veliz on. One of those 3 will start scoring. And before Christmas, at least one of them will be ready to overtake Richys place as starter.
We should be talking about Gyokeres or Openda if we are talking strikers.![]()
Exclusive: Tottenham in 'daily contact' with Jonathan David as bid looms
Tottenham are in daily contact with Striker target Jonathan David as they prepare a bid to bring the Canadian to the Premier League.www.footballinsider247.com
Shitty source but I prefer him to Toney.
To be fair he isn't actually a striker. He's an attacking midfielder,
I thought someone would have an only fans
5 yrsJust read weve poached southampton head of recruitment for 14-19 players. That Hall last night, hope weve got him on a long term contract. Hes a class act.
Is that the Spence who plays right back?I don't think we have to sign a central midfielder this summer at all and tbh if Spence has knuckled down, we don't need a LB either.
Which means all of our resources can be spent on two positions than the potential four we needed previously.
It's going to be Son/Werner on the left, on the right it will be Johnson and maybe a replacement for Kulusevski if he's moved to play more central. We should be talking about Gyokeres or Openda if we are talking strikers.
Or if not then talking about massive upgrades on the wide forward spots
Gray can cover Porro when needed as well but Spence lets see… up to him really and the market. It's going to be Son/Werner on the left, on the right it will be Johnson and maybe a replacement for Kulusevski if he's moved to play more central.
I don't think we'll have 3 left sided forwards.
So it could be Johnathan David, a new right forward, possibly Gallagher and a new back up goalkeeper.
That's if we keep Spence. if not we'll need cover for Porro.
We'll need Yin as well then?......Was this the rumour from earlier in the window with the video going round?
I think we'll get 2 attacking players = a right winger and a striker. But if it really is 1 more attacking player they had better get someone legit and not a make do from further down the list like Toney or David
