I'd say almost certainly despite only seeing him in that recent game. I've never seen a performance from Scarlett where I've been that impressed. When he's on the ball he just looks pretty darn bang average to me.
I've always wanted him to do well as he was a great junior player and tries hard, but he's basically about the same level as Carlos Vinicius as far as I've seen.

Scarlett has some ability, just doesn't look like a striker to me. Doesn't have much presence up top, doesn't seem to occupy the centre backs, not great playing with his back to goal, haven't seen much hold up play, or link up. Nor is he particularly pacey, not great movement, or looking to get in behind and play on the last line.

Maybe I could see him being a second striker. But definitely not one who leads the line on his own, not unless he completely alters his game.

I have seen us play better than prime Barca in who gives a fuck friendlies in over forty years as a ST holder.

I thought Gray and Bergvall played well, DJ as well.

But let's not get carried away with two half's of football with major line up changes.
Yeh and I'm not getting carried away with the team performance, because as you say, it was a who-gives-a-fuck friendly.

Individual performances are different though. Even in friendlies you can definitely see if a player has something about them. Their first touch, spacial awareness, passing range, decision making. Don't care if it's Barca or Hearts, they're still playing against pro footballers who are playing for their careers.

1) We have no need to, the stadium revenues give us a huge leeway in terms of FFP. What holds back our spending is available capital, not FFP, and the reports are Levy is looking for investment to enable us to do just that.

2) Who would we even sell for profit? Skipp would bring in the most, maybe 10-15m. Much better to give these guys some time on the pitch which will raise their values. Wouldn't surprise me if we have a good 5 academy players worth 20m plus come the end of the season, so long as Ange plays them.
Agree wholeheartedly. Arguing with a spurs mate complaining that we're not getting academy fees like Chelsea, Villa etc.

When I pointed out they're engaging in the dark arts to avoid June 30 FFP the expression and response was on of 'so what?'.

To say I was baffled we're being criticised from our own fans for not behaving in a shady manner is putting it mildly.
