Worth noting fans tend to massively overrate their academy products. Just go take a look at what r/coys was saying about Skipp the last couple of seasons, people were getting upvoted for saying it was a matter of time before he was playing for England.

As for Villa and Ramsey, of course it's good that most of their fans seem to want to keep him. But I'd expect that. And even then some of the takes on those forums are mixed, plenty saying Rogers has surpassed him, his injuries are a concern, etc.

I’m not against the Ramsay signing as he’s a younger, home grown player and Lo Celso is gone. However it’s not a needle moving signing, we need a top winger and a top striker so squad signings will be deemed underwhelming until we get those players in. Overall I think Gray, Bergvall, Ramsay and even Dragusin (barely featured last season) will improve our squad but we need first 11 upgrades badly.
