Only if you have the same level of faith in the club to sign a better striker...

I'm open to upgrading any player and Richy's injuries probably make it a good time for everyone. Playing in Saudi could even help him like it did Kante.

But a serious upgrade at striker is likely breaking our transfer record. Is that going to happen?
Its certainly not going to happen with him here. Whilst I like Richy, we need someone who is going to be available and he just can't be relied upon.

He was injured way too often last season. No question about that.

Levy likes to get incomings done before any big transfer fee is received though. Did it with Kane last summer. He hates other clubs knowing he is flush with cash. If we do sign a top striker this summer I wouldn't be surprised if it happened before Richy left.

Spamming low crosses is all well and good against Hearts and QPR, but how many low crosses did we have in that run of games against Woolwich, Chelsea, Liverpool Newcastle?

Answer: not many.
Well it wasn't for a lack of trying. It's pretty obvious our primary approach to scoring is byline crosses (typically low) regardless of whether our build-up play on the day allows for it. It's one of the reasons we became so predictable in the second half of the season.

Do they realise Richy isn't motivated by money(He gives loads away) unlike most of the greedy cunts who go there like Henderson?
Idk, I think Richy really, really cares about giving back to his community and making the world a better place. It isn’t just his money and he doesn’t think the way most footballers do.

The fact that he’s considering Saudi is because, while Spurs are paying him a life changing amount of money, Saudi can pay him ten life time changing amounts of money.

Given our propensity to blast low crosses in don't we just need a tap in merchant?
Sounds easy!

Tap in merchants are not that easy to find. They need to play right up on the defensive line. It is hard to do and most strikers can't do it, they play too deep for that role.
Sonny can play that role. He scores lots of goals playing that way. He might interchange with Richy quite often.
It will depend on what Ange wants or needs for a certain game or defensive structure. He might use Kulusevski more this season giving the team a different option in attack.
