Why do we need to offload players before signing him? The only players we're currently trying to offload are Reguilon, Gil, and Emerson, none play in his position, and will probably not get us more than 30m. Also we can obviously afford him. And what would a Manchester paper know about us and Eze.

If the release clause is 68m for eze as reported, that will be a big part of it too as with a release clause, most or all of it will need to be paid up front. So that could impact other signings we are trying to make
