think weve got one more year of romero. after this season coming hell be sick of it and want out and we will be two steps back again. its been snakes and ladders since berbatov and keane days. always missing that final couple pieces and the gems we have get sick of wasting years and we then need to replace them too.

Most of us are conditioned to this, and have been for a long time.

Moore is probably going to be a superstar and Lankshear has potential. If they are good enough they will over the next 1-3 years become established first 11 players.

We can’t however just wait for 2-3 years. That leads to whack a mole which has happened repeatedly down the years. You wait for the attack to get fixed by which time Romero has left and then you have to fix the defence and when you fix the defence the attack is then an issue.

We had a forward line of Bale-Kane-Son and a backline of Sanchez and Dier. We now have fixed our backline but need to fix our front line instead. If we want to challenge we need a complete team like City and Arse.

Standing still is going backwards in football. It is that competitive.
That's the problem with our clusterfuck of transfer policy the last 5-7 years!

We need to strengthen BOTH the squad and the starting 11!

Hopefully our new setup will do some good.

It can work, the main issue is that apart from Kulusevski (who isn’t an ideal fit as a winger in Ange’s system) None of our current forwards can keep the ball for an extended period of time in the final 3rd.

Johnson, Son and Richarlison are all final action players.

Werner Solomon and Gil are not even worth discussing.

Son is a better striker than a winger to me these days, especially how Ange uses them. His movement and finishing is still brilliant but he can’t carry the ball and beat anyone 1v1 with regularity, we desperately lack a Nico Williams/Jeremy Doku/Anthony Gordon style player, a winger who will occupy 2-3 opponents every time they get the ball.

Moore is on his way but it’s too early to rely on him full time.
What? Son has generally been very poor as crntre forward. Kulu was much more effective

Certainly cannot. Cannot hold the ball up, poor control, on the left or forget it

You could well be describing Haaland who for the record got dispossed more times than Son did last season in fact.

It's a lazy argument clouded in recency bias.

I'm hearing Kulu shouts who apparently is better at playing striker than Son despite 1 match against a relegated Sheff fekin Utd, Good Lord.

Yeah I’m not sure why people keep banging on about Son being a bad center forward for Ange. He scored 14 of his 17 goals playing CF. The CF’s main job is to score goals. No not hold the ball up. Hold up play does not matter for the CF role. Son is currently the best finisher in this team Also it’s quite obvious he lost a step and isn’t as dynamic on the wing. He’s can’t run by his man like he used to.

We really do require some succession planning for Son as i reckon this will be his last season here even if we extend his contract by 12 months. Still comfortably our best forward option which reiterates why the whole front 3 needs an overhaul. Hopefully Moore will make that easier but the need for 2 or 3 quality players is obvious.

In positive news, the back 5 (GK included is probably only a back up / young prospect keeper and a LCB / LWB away from being strong first 11 / squad.

Midfield, not too bad, Bissouma / Maddison / Bentancur all good players, Gray, Bergval, Sarr all fantastic young players. Probably one addition needed still, maybe Eze.

Front line.... Shambles... Left side, Son / Werner / Moore not too bad, right side, Johnson / Kulu below par... Striker, pretty woeful... Richarlison would be an excellent squad option on ability, but is never available.

LCB / LWB - exciting prospect ok here
Creative Mid - Ideally top level, but first team ready prospect would work.
Right Wing - Needs to be first team quality
Striker - Needs to be top quality

Is that really you, AG, you boring motherfucker!

Here's an idea, fuckface.

When you've got your notes prepared for your latest youtube video - ask chatgpt or microsoft pilot to summary/condense it for you, then use THAT to do your vids - 50 minute videos down to 5 mins, just like that.

You're fucking welcome, you ass-faced racoon.

Your blood pressure must be through the roof 😂

We always hear this with players in preseason that have been in the bad books though and they usually end up going. I’ll believe it when I see it that he stays.

We heard it with Lo Celso last year and he stayed.

Took hos chances when he played but got injured on his first start vs Fulham and was injured almost everytime he would have got a chance.

Spence looks like he has a slither or small crack in the opening of a window. Next couple games on tour will tell us more imo.
