i don't think he can even qualify for working permit yet. He'll probably be years away.

I think working permit may now be tied up with ESC status which was introduced recently. - an overview. Introducing ESC: the new GBE guidance opens up recruitment post Brexit - Analytics FC

South Korea is in the FIFA top 50 leagues in world , and as the player has already played 24 times for his club this year (plus at u17 level for South Korea), I think he qualifies. If he gets a full South Korean call up this autumn as some suspect, that can only help his cause.

There may be a limit of 2 such players for Spurs, and the other player is probably Vuskovic now on loan in Belgium to help his ESC position.

Football Chap Football Chap is more of an expert on this, so may have a view

To be honest mate I think he's a decent player and will improve us, mostly because he is actually a CF but I just think there's better options out there
Yeah totally agree, he is a known quantity as well, we know what he can bring with the right service. People are too focused on ceilings that unknown quantities may or may not reach - this guy guarantees goals, gives us more aerial ability which we lack at times and brings a level of shithousery we sorely miss.
