No it was a genuine question, just not put very well. Don't all South Koreans need to do National Service? Wouldn't this kid have to do the same at some point? Unless he wins the Asian Cup that is.

I think all South Koreans need to have begun their National Service (3 years ?) before the age of 28 at the latest - unless they win Asian Cup or one or two other specified alternatives.

So its not an immediate concern for our potentially new 18 year old.

People here really wanted us to accept their first offer of 10m
It’s a fine balance though.

I mean realistically, is an extra €7million really going to make any great difference to us this summer, other than to ENICs pockets?

Royal is a pony player that we have been desperately trying to get rid of for ages now.
If we had let him go earlier is there not a chance it may have facilitated earlier incoming deals?

7m is around what we paid for Bergvall. Do you think he'll make any difference? If you make a habit of accepting half of what your players are worth you'll be losing out on a huge chunk of your transfer budget.

If you constantly do that it sets a precedent that clubs can low ball you and you turn into Utd and lose out on a lot of money in the long run.

Yeah, can’t see it - we’re already overloaded in the wide forward position as it is.

We need an actual striker - 2 if Richy goes.

If we could pinch Toney at £40m and David at £25m whilst selling Richy for £60m the we have had a right touch. Get Eze in as well and I think we can get top 5 again which I’m certain will be CL next year.

Would just like us for once to try and win a cup - go strong, early and throughout
We DO need a wide player as the ones we have are not going to take us to next level. Ange said it himself!

That's sort of his point.

Our defensive worries are weakened by having technically superior offensive players who don't lose the ball and give opponents a chance to make the 2/3 passes.

We play a high line. If you're not capable of keeping the ball in the final third, you're always going to be under threat due to the high risk/high reward nature of the high line.

It's the exact same for Liverpool and City. Except they're much better offensively than we are and either create more due to players being suited or just have much better offensive players than us on a technical level. Ultimately, most of the goals those top clubs concede are on counters or due to defensive errors.

Look at some of the goals we conceded. Kulusevski loses the ball easily due to passing to no one. Luton go up the other end and score. Son loses the ball due to not being able to hold the ball up, Newcastle knock it long, score (I think this actually happened twice) . Just to name two quick ones off the top of my head.
Think you’ll find Liverpool abd city also win the ball back very quickly mostly in the oppo half. Bit like Spain do. They all play high but put in a shift abd crowd the oppo players so they never get forward. Unfortunately our front 3 are not very physical.

If one of the 3 was Toney why would Brentford be holding it up? They already bought a #9 replace him…

Until the last week of the window they hold the cards whilst they tart him about to various clubs. It's not as if Toney has been such a loyal servant that Brentford will bend over to get him his dream move to the club of his choice.

I imagine it's going to be painful for all parties.
