No, it's not fucking ample when it leaves you a CB short and that costs you a shit ton of points when your first choice CBs aren't available.
What part of this are you failing to understand? You keep sniveling behind this 4th largest budget in Europe line but it wasn't enough for what we needed and that cost us. We also had the most expensive tickets in Europe last year so maybe 4th highest fucking budget was still on the low side.
Fucking hell. This is all started from me having a pop at the whiners and moaners but because I mentioned one criticism of the board and Levy in that post we get all this 4th highest budget crap.

Let's be real - the club messed up by not bringing in another CB in the Summer for Ange but to say it cost us points is really disingenuous - Ange had Sanchez there but we sold him to Turkey after the window was shut - there was nothing stopping us from keeping him until Jan, he chose to sanction the sale and thus we were short.
At the end of the day we did well spending money last Summer considering where we were at the start of the window but we mis-stepped on the CB thing, that is more of a collective responsibility.
Yeah man I keep using facts, that's what you're supposed to do in an argument. The size of our budget is relevant to whether or not our budget was ample, would you agree or disagree?

This is pointless. You don't have the full capacity of your elective mind engaged, mate. You are basically on autoreply.
The funny thing about this argument is that had we signed most of the players we've been linked to (Eze, Toney, Neto, Doue etc...) they's still be on holiday regardless and wouldn't have a preseason anyway, that's the consequence of the Summer and the intl tournaments.

So if we picked up a random CB for 5 million it would've changed your mind about your budget? If there's not a right option available, waiting a window instead of making a panic signing that will become deadwood is the right thing to do.

What people also gloss over is that the worst period of last season came when all our best players were fit. That disgusting run of defeats came with VDV and Romero playing every game, the "didn't sign a CB" excuse might explain our wobble in November but it doesn't explain our end of season collapse. In retrospect waiting until Jan to sign a CB didn't really make much difference.
Win the league cup and our own fans will be referencing it as 'clown cup' or 'worthless cup' I think I heard when we won the 'Worthington' Cup.
Win the FA Cup and it will be played down as a minor, over due trophy on the back of lucky draws.
Win the UEFA Cup and it will be the Thursday night budget squad cup.

Only Romero and Sarr will be here come September from those 3 years which tells you everything. That is on the people that run the club because they hired or over promoted complete fucking idiots.
So we've been in a constant state of rebuild for 5 years, chasing our tail and that means lots of spending just to pretty much stand still.
