True, but do we really need him? What position will he play?

We need a RW (Chiesa) for sure imo to replace Kulu or rotate with him.

We need a quality ball playing midfield who can play CAM and 8 (Olmo).

For me Eze is a CAM and LW but better as a CAM and we have Maddison there. I can see Olmo playing with Madders in midfield but can’t see Eze and Madders playing together.

Question of opinion of course.

I don’t think we can be soley reliant on Maddison for playmaking. It’s similar to how we were half the team without Eriksen (who was crazily available) under Poch. Maddison’s always been injury prone too, and he’s the kind of guy who would raise his game with competition. All in all, we need quality at the top end of the pitch.

On some occasions yes. He can play on the right or left. Allegri was a great coach, important for Juventus but in this second period (Allegri II) there was a lot of tactical confusion. Chiesa (and not just him) was trapped in too many defensive tasks: few balls forward and too much work behind... result: penalized.

Cue Chiesa going to the goons or geordies and smashing it, whilst our fans cry about how we slept on him….

FWIW I think he‘d be a Van De Vaart style punt - established international who has had injuries and could benefit from the change of scenery. When he’s on it, our attack would be improved immensely

What seems like a limit to you is perhaps the key to not failing tomorrow. Barcelona bought Griezmann for €140 million, the same price as Dembele... It doesn't seem to me that great expenses have been great results...

Of the 2 Chiesa is probably the bigger injury risk over Neto. Just watch them, Neto looked just as explosive as always this summer, Chiesa has very clearly lost a couple of yards.

Since recovering from his cruciate ligament tear, Chiesa has never been injured more than 6 days (2 games) at anyone time due to a knee injury and has only had 3 in 2 years.

In the last 2 season, since both recovered from their injuries, Chiesa has missed a total of 27 games through Injury compared to Pedro Neto's 50, which is more games than Chiesa missed when he did his cruciate (45 games) and also as many as when Neto did his (52 games).

Chiesa was looking like he has his explosiveness back at the 2nd half of last season.

I also think Chiesa suits us better, Neto's main strengths (other than speed and dribbling) are his floated crosses, which aren't any good for our attack.
