So we're effectively relying on maddison being fit all season and for him to put together the type of consistency that Messi and Ronaldo used to? I don't know if you forgot but we were fucking dreadful in the run in and average at best after our fantastic early season form. We need to stop pretending everything is OK and it's going to be great when it isn't as it currently stands. After Ange's comments after the city game and in the weeks after he's saying he wants to win things. That team from last season will be doing the same thing this season as it did last without quality first 11 upgrades.
Yes, last season we were reliant on Maddison for anything creative. That's why we need to bring in 2 or 3 genuine starting players and someone that can offer different avenues to goals.

Do you think Aston Villa or Newcastle fans beat up their club so much even though its been YEARS since they both haven't won a trophy? They are also big clubs going on a trophy drought worse than ours btw...

Why is it only our fans that outrage away and constantly bring up our failures every time they get the chance to?

Also isn't it but lying to yourself bringing up transfer failures over thr years and just ignoring the transfer successes?
Do they pay 1500 per season ticket, you horse punching fucking fuck?

What seems like a limit to you is perhaps the key to not failing tomorrow. Barcelona bought Griezmann for €140 million, the same price as Dembele... It doesn't seem to me that great expenses have been great results...

No they don't. Vicario is perfect evidence of that.

I'm not saying I don't want Chiesa because he's likely to be cheaper than other targets. I am saying that people are persuading themselves they want Chiesa because they don't believe the club will invest in any options that would cost more.

Since recovering from his cruciate ligament tear, Chiesa has never been injured more than 6 days (2 games) at anyone time due to a knee injury and has only had 3 in 2 years.

In the last 2 season, since both recovered from their injuries, Chiesa has missed a total of 27 games through Injury compared to Pedro Neto's 50, which is more games than Chiesa missed when he did his cruciate (45 games) and also as many as when Neto did his (52 games).

Chiesa was looking like he has his explosiveness back at the 2nd half of last season.

I also think Chiesa suits us better, Neto's main strengths (other than speed and dribbling) are his floated crosses, which aren't any good for our attack.

If you are saying Chiesa has his explosiveness back then that is at least encouraging. i didn't see much explosiveness in the Euros but Italy were a flaming heap of shit and I didn't watch every game.

Neto is a beast for strength as well as pace. We know he can force what he wants against the very best in the Prem. Chiesa is probably more technical but is he the guy that can create against a defender standing 3 yards off him?

I guess I can be open to the idea of Chiesa but he was pretty much agreed to go to Roma, why would we have only just decided to get involved now?

Options that cost more are not necessarily better: over the years, especially in the Premier League, I have seen mediocre players paid €50-60 million. Just look at Man United's signings: they were all first choices! Purebred horses (on paper) have become donkeys.

You have a nice club, maybe they haven't won much but they are healthy, they have a fantastic stadium and a nice fan base. Over the years you have had good seasons against teams that have spent more than you.

Perhaps.

But we’re not getting Kvara or Williams. As a left sided option, Chiesa is legitimately good. He’s a combative little bugger as well, which I think will suit the league.

I’d be excited to see him play.
