I think that’s a relatively accurate assessment of him.

I just don’t really see how he would fit into Anges 4-3-3.

Assuming Maddison won’t be dropped, then could you have a midfield of Eze, Maddison and say, Bissouma? The balance of that is absolutely horrific on paper.

Considering some of the more pressing issues in our squad, I’m not sure another number 10 for 60 odd million would be sensible business.
Of course you can have a midfield of those three. We play most games at home against shit teams that sit in and don’t want to come out. We need players who can take the ball in tight spaces and create. It’s pointless having runners like Sarr and Bentancur against those types of teams. They don’t have the guile and ability to create something out of nothing or something for themselves. They are very good players in my mind but they need bigger spaces and we won’t have the space especially at home against 90% of the teams that come to us.

Tell them we'll forgo that 35% clause on Marcus and in return they let us have Gyokeres for 45 mil. If Edwards goes Saudi for say 25 mil, that's 70 mil in their pockets.

Nobody gonna give them big dosh for our ex with that mad clause. And nobody gonna pay 80 for Gyok. Ain't happening.

Club like Sporting can't turn down 70 mil and the big profit it means. Especially cause they'll spend 20-30mil of that on two or three new kids that they'll sell for 40 or 50 mil each within a season or two.

Probably bollocks but I don’t think we’ll be able to resist at that price.

Given the minimal cost, this is almost a ‘can’t lose’ situation. I would rather roll the dice with David than spend twice the money on Toney.

Almost every other striker we’re linked with (Giminez, Gyokeres etc.) is a more expensive roll of the dice in a rather weak market.
If we’re going to cough up beaucoup bucks then I’d go for Alvarez (or, failing that, Solanke).
