I'm not sure we should be expecting Devine to stay this season. He's looked good in the friendlies, but he struggled in the Championship last season.
Agree he might be loaned but there’s a chance he comes back into the mix year imo - we need a striker more than Eze. Pay up for Gyokeres or Isak then wheel and deal for other positions or promote yoof

Someone wake me up when this inevitable shit show of a window closes.
Wake me up, when September... begins?

I wouldn't be so pessimistic though chap. We do still have a full month to work on these deals. Obviously, it's happened before, but we have so much fucking money now. Don't think people realize how big our financial advantages are over European clubs at this point. We can definitely afford at least two big attacking signings.

Reckon we’ve taken about £50M / 20% off our wage bill in the last year - Ndom, Kane, Lloris, PEH, Dier, Sanchez. I know we’ve bought players in but almost certainly they are on about half

Ange criticised Klu for constantly cutting in,not attacking the fullback and getting crosse's in across the 6 years box and attacking the box when the other winger does the same. Does this sound like the way Eze plays? No it really doesn’t. He can’t play wide for us in this system imo. Which leave one spot for the no 10 role with him and Maddison. Would rather spend the 60m on a top wide player or striker personally

Fair. I just think he is a serious talent and would elevate our squad but honestly can't see anyone paying 60 up front for him

This is true, but pacey forwards who rely on speed and acceleration also tend to peak early and fall off young. I wouldn't expect a 30 year old Johnno to be anywhere near as effective as he was at age 21. What's he going to fall back on his footballing IQ and deft touch? :roflmao:
IF they're REALLY smart... They develop physically like bale and Ronaldo did... But yeah pace can v quickly go..

Yep.. he's a great player but from what I've seen he needs the options/space to go either way.. and he's certainly got the footwork to be able ... Aka his Cage Football youth. When he's playing wide it sort of looks like restricted. Like he's almost boxed in, and isn't as effective

Of course you can have a midfield of those three. We play most games at home against shit teams that sit in and don’t want to come out. We need players who can take the ball in tight spaces and create. It’s pointless having runners like Sarr and Bentancur against those types of teams. They don’t have the guile and ability to create something out of nothing or something for themselves. They are very good players in my mind but they need bigger spaces and we won’t have the space especially at home against 90% of the teams that come to us.
You actually believe this about Bentancur mate?

Make a deal for the 35% and Gyokeres

I think that's bound to happen.

Given the bid for Edwards the 35% is still probably worth 10m +, and nobody's getting anywhere close to 50 or 60 (even though its said the release clause sporting want is 80m) a bid of say 45m or 50m + the 35%| should be very tempting (they only paid 20m for him) plus they also make 100% of the fee on Edwards so they make a lot of money between the 2 transactions.

In the real world Gyokeres is probably only worth 45m and still a risk he won't be able to perform in PL.
