He’s not a creative midfielder. If that’s what a creative midfielder is now then that’s why the game is boring nowadays. For the record I’m a massive Bentancur fan.

Yeah, it was obvious when Postecoglou said we were still after our initial targets. IMO i reckon its Eze, Neto and Gallagher. They're the names that have been knocking around for months. Only other possible i could think of is Raphinha instead of Neto as Barca wont want to sell until they have signed Williams which might explain the delays. Maybe Ramsey as a contingency if Gallagher doesnt happen. I hope i'm wrong on a couple of those. I reckon we only move for a CF if and when we sell Richarlison.
Yeah I reckon there’s a few on our ‘shortlist’ that haven’t been leaked.Part of me agrees, and the other part thinks that's way too obvious, given recent history of everybody looking the wrong way while Lange goes about his business.
Can gray play the holding midfeild role? Admittedly I've only seen him 2 or 3 times for leeds and done no research... But when I have he's played the sort of porro role ... attacking RHS...Striker I’m not worried about. Son + Richy was 29 goals when either started in the middle. Unless an outrageous offer comes in for Richarlison, so we can turn around and buy Gyrokes, I’m fine with them.
DM - I think the succession plan from Bissouma to Gray has already been made.
All of our attention should be on LW and also a LCB/LB hybrid
I don’t understand why that’s the ultimatum. We’ve got money and a scouting team that should be able to identify other targets. It’s mental to buy a player with massive injury concerns for such a key position, especially considering we’ve already seen the impact our style of play has on players legs.Would you rather Neto play 25 games and be injured for 25 games or have Solomon available on the bench for 50 games?
I'de LOVE neto at Tottenham, I'm not anti Werner in any form he's decent... But neto as long as he's fit, can play either side and from what I've seen is a game changer.. fitness COULD be an ongoing issue though...![]()
Tottenham plot £128m double swoop which will stun Liverpool, Man City and delight Postecoglou
Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Tottenham are keen on a £128million Premier League pair, and a forward move could be completed "soon".www.teamtalk.com
If Baldcunt does this, I won't call him Baldcunt for a whole week.
How is Solanke desperate? He already proved he can score goals in the Premier League. On the contrary, all Gyokeres has done is score lots of goals in Portgual, which excluding a few clubs, is Championship quality. He hardly set the world alight for Coventry in the Championship a couple of years ago.
He plays in central midfield, he played RB at Leeds because, they were short on numbers. Can gray play the holding midfeild role? Admittedly I've only seen him 2 or 3 times for leeds and done no research... But when I have he's played the sort of porro role ... attacking RHS...
What was the last game you saw David play and in what ways would him playing for us not add value?
I've only seen some clips and don't really have a strong opinion either way but I imagine, based on your comment, you know his game inside out.
Both Soldado and Paulinho were a case of TERRIBLE scouting. Soldado was never going to work in a million years in the prem.We did a great job of ruining their careersThe spurs curse.
In all seriousness they both looked like great buys at the time. Paulinho had just had a fantastic Copa America for Brazil and was one of the players of the tournament. I was genuinely excited when we got him. Thought he’d add some real backbone and toughness to the side. Instead he ran around like a little 5 year old sook looking for his mummy. Lazy as fuck too, which wasn’t the case when playing in and for Brazil. Go figure
Some interesting comments on Eze in this thread as I know some on here have touched on where he’d fit on our team as he’s not a winger or a central midfielder.

He was neither big nor quick, nor aggressive/Strong. You need 2 out of the 3 if you’re going to be a good prem striker. He had none.
Negredo came over at the same time and he was great before he got homesick.
Paulinho was Aturo Vidal from wish. He was good at crashing the box but utterly average at everything else.

I rate Eze highly as an individual but it seems people don’t want to learn the lessons from the Euros.
Southgate’s refusal to drop Foden for Anthony Gordon cost England the tournament.
I’m not trying to hear “Eze can do a job out on the LW because he’s so talented”, NO. Give me a player who’s primary job it is to play there.
I just think they are very different number 10's and both fantastic players. To be honest, if we signed Eze I assumed it's probably because Ange thinks he's a better fit for his team and the set up than Maddison is.
Hence why we're also in the market for a winger (Neto, Chiesa links etc)
Mourinho, Conte bringing Bale back. Pining over pretzel boy.Yup, fans aren't really thinking things through, it's like the fanbase want is to go for him because it signals us having ambition and it will make us feel like we can compete, the dopemine hit of the signing is clouding people's judgement because there's no specified role for him.
