Well, when he was briefly fit last season, Richy bagged 11 goals and 4 assists. That a goal contribution every 90 minutes.

If we can get him to put in a decent shift this season, he will bag more than 20 goals. Problem is keeping him fit.
10 seasons as a pro. Never got 20 goals.

But yeah, maybe this is the one it all comes together. If not there's always next year eh Tottenham Massive Tottenham Massive ? Lol

If we get an injury to a few players before the season starts up front I do worry about our lack of business we are doing as Ange said he wants it done early. Can't rely on richarlison as the bloke is also injury prone

I get that window is not closed yet. And if we sign someone close to closing of the window, it will still be too soon to evaluate the window... but SO FAR, it has been 2/10 window for me.

On the back of past season, it was so clear what we needed -
- a striker that can keep the ball up and help with goals
- tricky winger that can take players on and create chances
- reliable #6 in Kante mould who help to control the midfield and take room from opposition players

So by now we are not far from new season starting, and we have moved on Hjojberg + number of players that did not feature at all in 2nd half of the season.
And brought in 3 18 yo players who might not play single full 90-minutes game in EPL in coming season (hope they do and hit the ground running though).

But we HAVE NOT addressed the most important issues, and as of now, nothing such seems even to be close. Also we have been absolutely tragically shit with getting funds from outgoing players. Sess, Ndombelly, Perisic and Tanganga were all released on free. With first three it was inevitable, but releasing young HG player for nothing ?! Any other big club would have sold him for 8-16 mil eur for sure.
And then we have Royal, Lo Celso, Regulion all lingering around, while we should have sold all of them.

Very- very poor job so far.
Time to improve, but so far -shocking!

The outgoings have been better than a 2/10 on their own. Especially if we find a perma-home for Reguillon.

I think we are at 5/10 so far. That's not a knock on Archie Gray either it's just because he's not yet proven it in the prem.

If we add one more attacking player with get to a 6/10.

Players will come and Ange himself has made it clear we know who we want and haven’t shifted that focus. I am sure we will see movement soon, probably when we’re back from SK.

But what if a couple of the youngsters have really made us sit up and take notice and we’re now considering whether we need a £50m option somewhere? Is that such a bad thing?
I get your point but you do realise Ange is an employee, right? And that as such, he'll tell the media what the club's comms team has fed him, knowing it had to get signed off by the powers that be beforehand. He's not out there freestyling it and speaking his own mind.

Richy won’t score more than 20 goals a season for many reasons. He’s never fit enough, won’t play regularly even when fit and he’s not good enough. Never scored twenty goals a season and he won’t just turn into that player at his age.

I agree on the outs, think we've done pretty well on them upto a point. Think 5/10 overall though is very generous and i wanted us to sign Gray.

I think way too much expectation is being heaped on him and the other youngsters. I think its great they can be the squad and all get minutes and i reckon a couple will become first teamers before too long but just expecting them all to make an instant impact is not doing them any favours.

We needed at least 3 first team players to lift us up a level and we still need those 3 first team players. Just under 3 weeks until the season starts, just over 4 weeks until the window closes.

Think Archie and Bergvall are definitely part of the thinking why we don’t need Gallagher

And

I wonder what the price would be for us? More than that I suspect

He’d definitely cost us more than that because of prem HG tax

Wonder who the European teams are.

Think I'd prefer he got sent abroad tbh. Eredivisie would be nice or even Ligue 1 - leagues that don't mind giving promising young talent a chance.
A loan move to Heerenveen wouldn't be a bad idea...as a young striker, being mentored by none other than Robin Van Persie (I know...) gotta be beneficial surely. Twente, NEC, Utrecht other decent shouts.

In Ligue 1, Brest be an interesting one. First it ain't far from London. Mainly, they play sexy footy and will be in the CL. They're still strapped for cash, though...so getting a very exciting kid on loan would be good for them. And he'd play next to a Peter Crouch type there, so would get a lot of chances. Nantes or St Etienne good options too. Or even Lille...loftier expectations, but their manager is probably the best with younguns.
