That happens. I don’t see it ever happening with Richy because I don’t think he’s good enough. He’s not a natural finisher,can’t link up and create and can’t run away from anyone. It’s my opinion because I’ve only ever seen him perform well for us in one spell in two years. In that spell he didn’t always play great but contributed which is more acceptable. A ten game spell in two years isn’t acceptable though no matter what the circumstances are for that.
We still need 3 more first team players if we are serious about challenging.
If that was a RWF, 8/10, LB, I think we’d be at 7/10 depending on who those players are.

A striker who has scored 103 goals in 206 games in Seire A is Pony.
I have seen people advocate for Richarlison who has 55 goals in 190 games in the Premier League.
Lautaro Martinez is the only top striker that I think we would could get right now and only a signing like this will tell player like Romero we are serious.
But most Spurs Fans seem to want to spend 60-80m on either Neto or Eze. While Neto would be a good signing his injury record is terrible while Eze is a player very similar to Madders and they cannot play in the same team because it would give us even less cover defensively.
In terms of outgoings, they've done a very good job so far, I'll give them that. Should they manage to shift Emerson (thanks & good luck to you, kid), Reguilon, Lo Celso and Solomon, gotta give them an 8 outta 10 easy. Sell either Biss or Bentancur plus Richy for decent money and that's a full house.
But yeah as far as incomings are concerned...and yeah I friggin know it ain't over yet...that's defo not good enough. Bringing Werner back still stings. Gray an exciting kid, for sure. As is Bergvall. But still so far off what we need to do to be able to genuinely challenge City and the Arseholes...unless that's just a line we're being fed to keep spending our hard-earned cash on ST & merch

Was always going to be the case when we bought Werner back unfortunately. We have too many players for 3 positions...Son, Richarlison, Johnson, Kulusevski, Werner, Solomon and now can add Moore as well. Only way we get more than 1 is moving on Richarlison. Doubt even selling Solomon would shift the dial. This is what happens when you keep adding 'squad' players.

Opposite side of the coin there is that we played about 3 months last season with 3/4 of our first team unavailable. The squad depth helped there - but that kind of depth also comes at the cost of limited opportunities for youth players, so on balance I'd rather we focused on quality too.
Which is why I had a meltdown back then. I've made peace with it now but people are slowly starting to realize what that transfer meant.
Can see us moving for Eze. Potentially Toney, or a winger but that’s a big maybe.

Dan & his gang couldn't care less. Never have, never will. As long as the big money keeps rolling in, concerts & shit keep getting signed, go-karts + hotels etc etc.
If/when the old school fan stops putting his dosh into the club's tills, Dan the Man's already got some new casuals from Korea to bridge that gap. And some.
Social media sentiment is part of the business model these days. No denying that and we see in all of the BTS docu series about football where the media team brief the decision makers at the club.
How much it influences club decision making is up for debate but with the club looking to sell a minority stake, social media sentiment is definitely not something they can completely ignore.
