Udogie was 21 majority of the season (bday in November)
Sarr was 21 pretty much full season (bday in September)
So between themselves - 0 minutes played as "teen" (which means under 20).
Second of all -
I do not care how young really.
Bellingham was 20 throughout last season. Would you praise Ancellotti for "giving youngster a chance" for playing him then?
Putting faith into players that have not played in full men's game on top level is bigger risk and takes bigger faith in them, it is pretty clear. Buying young players who have proved that they are able to compete with men is less risky.

First of all he said something like "ah, we could not throw youngsters into team in chaos" or smth along these lines.
And then he still started giving Dane and Donley and Mikcey some minutes. So... which is it then?
Also - already mentioned in this thread is the name Miley - Newcastle was also hit by crisis and he stepped up. He has now more of a spine and experience and balls. But when we had similar situations, we tried so hard to keep obvious and hopeless turds like Lo Celso on, while Donley was on fire in U21 premier league. Why? What is there to win from it? I just do not understand.
Take a chance. If you put 18 yo into team, there are two options - either he will not be ready for EPL (an expected outcome at this stage) or he surprises positively. So basically - you could have your Miley or Mainoo... or you can hang onto unfitting players like PEH and GLC who are out of the door anyway. I know I'd rather have our own youngsters given the chance.
The way Ange plays, we need to have this SORT OF quality across our first 11 to do anything this season.
For a club that is on a rebuild with lofty ambitions (apparently), this is the DIRECTION we should be going in.
There's nothing magical there; it's just a solid top 6 upwards team that could justify talk of challenging/cups.
*Yes, I'd consider playing Romero there against city/scum/chelsea/pool/manure and maybe a couple others, as we're, typically, an almighty mess in transition/turnovers and would need his aggression, reading, recovery and game on the ball. He sits right in front of CB and we instantly have proper hard-as-nails security at the centre of our game.

Am I the only one who does not think Oshimen is way overrated ?
I mean - yea, he is obviously better than Richy. And he is better striker than we have now.
But ffs he is not nearly 100 mil player - he has had 1 good season so far. And he already was moody and needy in start of last season I think? I'd be quite worried of his attitude and everything if we were to splash close to 100 mil for him. I don't consider him really-really "elite" striker. To me to be in that class, you must have had more than 1 season scoring 25 goals in top 5 league before turning 26.
A guy who has had very good links in the past to the club
