Yet another Spurs target (well, according to social media) sold to another club.
I like Summerville but with Johnson, Werner, Son, Richalison, Solomon and Moore all playing in his position I understand why Spurs let West Ham have him...

Summerville is why I wasn’t keen on Werner. I rate him highly.
Only thing I can think of is Werner loan doesn’t get in the way of Mikey Moore coming through

Just a reminder that for EL games we can only have a maximum of 21 non CT players in the squad.
Players under 21 that have not been at the club for 2 years have to be included in the EL squad.
Our 3 CT players are Skipp, Austin and Whiteman.

Assuming Royal, Reguillon and Lo Celso leave and Veliz and Phillips are loaned 15 HG and 6 Association players totalling 21 remain.
So additional players need to go before before we can add to the squad.
I wonder if Ange may gamble on leaving Forster out?
Gallagher's name has cropped up again so IMO if he comes then Biss goes.
A new winger replaces Solomon.
And a new defender to replace Spence.

The way Ange plays, we need to have this SORT OF quality across our first 11 to do anything this season.

For a club that is on a rebuild with lofty ambitions (apparently), this is the DIRECTION we should be going in.

There's nothing magical there; it's just a solid top 6 upwards team that could justify talk of challenging/cups.

*Yes, I'd consider playing Romero there against city/scum/chelsea/pool/manure and maybe a couple others, as we're, typically, an almighty mess in transition/turnovers and would need his aggression, reading, recovery and game on the ball. He sits right in front of CB and we instantly have proper hard-as-nails security at the centre of our game.

Will you eventually fuck up if we sign an Argentinian defensive midfielder instead of this fucking bollocks again?

Romero is the new Foyth apparently.

I'm pretty sure the Martinez move was setup by his predecessor. Bailey is very very meh, he's the epitome of hit and miss and I don't think he levels Spurs up. I'm on record as not rating Watkins. I think even being kind to him, the signings highlighted are part of why I'm not particularly impressed by his work.

Honestly it's an odd job D.O F lots of critics (like me ) and sometimes unfairly credit going elsewhere. But the truth of it is, despite people poised to scream VDV and Vicario, IMHO Spurs are now at a place when we need the next level player to get us to elite. That means agents fees and Mendes and the Super parasites. It means the wage bill expanding. When those moves start to happen I'll buy in. Till then it's SSDD.
Martinez was his signing. but yeah whether you or I don't particularly rate Watkins or Bailey, isn't the point they are signings he bought in that ultimately improved Villa and were catalysts for them having their best season, in what 20/30 years.

Like you said it is an odd job because without the right manager can all go to shit anyway. ( Did he bring Emery in. Who knows)

All I know is Villa were in a much better place when he left, than when he joined.

Solomon was an unused sub today - after 11 substitutions.

Has been given lots of minutes this preseason to show he's worthy of bring in the squad, but not sure he's shown anything.

Maybe Ange has decided its best he is moved on now he's proved his fitness - but not at the level; required at Spurs. Moore will be a beneficiary of some minutes which Solomon might like to play plus Werner .... as well as incoming players or indeed Son as LW

Didn't even notice that. Hope you're right!

Solomon is our secret weapon for the season ahead

He'll fire us to glory

He's never played 6 in his life. You're talking bollocks.
What do you think would go wrong, if we put a defender who has a full passing range, quick, dogged, strong, aggressive, has vision, break up attacks, can read the game and can join in attacks (when appropriate) just in front of two CBs against scum, city, pool, manure, chelsea (an option until we buy a proper DM)?

Sorry, did you see him against Fulham in the League Cup last season? Horrendous.

A back up keeper is badly badly needed but unfortunately as a result of horrible squad management and our snails pace approach to transfers, it’s highly unlikely to be position we get to in this window.

As others have alluded to, we need to cross absolutely everything that nothing happens to Vicario.
Would gamble on not getting an injury to Vic if it means we sign a stellar striker. Forgot back ups, we need a striker.

We’d be taking our best player and playing him out position where he’s not better than at least 2 other players who are specialist there.

It’s a double negative and illogical

Romero at 6 is wild.

Can anyone actually Imagine him receiving passes on the half turn from Dragusin and VDV.

Talk about exposing an arguably would class centre halve
When has he shown any issues with receiving the ball?

What would go wrong with him picking up the ball and feeding it off with his comprehensive passing range?

Seems like you're trying to find a problem.

"he can't receive a ball on the half turn" lolz wut???

Mate when you're a CB the game is played in front of you, you have so much more time on the ball, can see everything.

Midfield is the hardest position on the pitch as the game is played all around you.

Thinktank is famous for cooking up a strategy which put Foyth as a 6 on SC.

Best just smile and assume that he's dealing with some issues and just leave him to it.

I agree with him on Romero to be fair

Inwould chuck him up top if we are chasing a game with ten to go….. he’s fucking class and a complete menace! Agree on CM being hardest position but I would back Romero to adapt and shine there

He’s a freak of a player, great feet and dominant. CB but he’s good enough to free up and move around if we need something to happen
