You don’t offer a 2 year deal to a player in their mid 20’s if you want to keep them. All it would mean is Gallagher is in the same position end of this up coming season. He was right to reject it even if he wants to stay at Chavs.

Felt for a while since that sticking to original targets comment that its Gallagher, Eze and Neto and maybe one of those young left backs we've been linked with. Then a striker if we sell Richarlison, which i dont think we will. Think that is as good as it will get at this stage but doing all that is another matter.

I think we need a proper wide forward with ball retention like Neto or Chiesa unless Ange is planning to move away from 2 wingers and have one of them as a false winger similar to how City use Foden or Bernardo Silva and we use Eze or Maddison as a false winger.

You keep saying that like it's some sort of ideal, when it was a train-wreck, in context.

With him on we have an extra CB that can slot in, who has an ideal skillset to sit just there and become an extra CB.

Dragusin Romero VDV on recoveries against City/Scum etc., would make me far more comfortable than anything else, right now.

It's clear we need extra security.

We won't do it anyway, but I can see the logic behind it for the low block merchants. Even at DM the game would be right in front of him, very little reason for him to take the ball on the half turn in those games. Any top pressing side might expose him though.

I agreed with him about the skillset he had to play there in general, but just not against the top teams.

Let's be real; he's had one good performance for Spurs away at Burnley. This summer he's been worse than Son and Werner on the left. Probably behind Moore too if he'd been played in his correct position.

I don't dislike the guy but he's quite clearly not at the standard and right now is just taking up a HG spot. Plus he's a bit of a one-trick-pony, head down, not a very smart player. Don't see much improvement there. Wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make the Europa squad.

We only got him bcos of the classic levy model of getting a freebie. Does anyone think we would have got him if we had to pay say £20M. He needs to go plus his injury record is not great. Get rid and cancel timo and proper quality in Neto. That’s what we should have done if we’re a proper club. But no we had to announce timo few days after season finished when he was still injured. Stinks to me that deal on full wages. Also just go out abd get eze and stop messing about with the likes of Ramsey and Gallagher. Again those two would be just adding poly filler to the squad.
