I think a lot of this depends on whether Richy stays (and likewise if Toney stays at Brentford)

If we don't go for Toney, I imagine we'll keep Richy and go all out for Eze...
If Richy goes (for anywhere NEAR £60m) then we might also go in for Neto...

But yes, his injury record is a concern!
We've got enough of those already!! Don't need to spend even MORE just to fill the treatment room!
We are in Desperate need of a striker and the only player in our squad who is almost a striker with 10+ PL goals is Richarlison. So if we sell him we will get a winger absolutely bizare.

If we don't get a Striker we should forget Champions League or a Trophy.

I’m personally completely unconvinced that Neto is actually good enough even if he had a perfect fitness record. He’s got like one move, run as fast as he can and float cross to the back post. Not a great passer. Doesn’t finish anything.

He has 3 PL goals since the pandemic FFS. THREE.
I wouldn't worry

we ain't signing him

If you could choose one out of Eze, Gyokeres or Neto; who would it be?

It's actually a tough question but if it's just one. Probably Eze.

Reasoning being, he can play central and he can play outwide so already we have someone that's versatile. He also has something we lack (ability to beat a man and retain possession).

We're crying out for a winger but if it's the one signing and it's Neto, it's the biggest risk of the three. Not proven to be able to stay fit.

Gyokeres is a good player, but we'd still have the exact same issues if we signed him.

For the reasons above, we NEED two signings in the offensive position (Eze and another preferably)

Gyokeres because we need a focal point as well as just get in behind teams and cross it. We are too one dimensional in terms of what type of goals we score. Watching us frustrates me as we can’t narrow opposition because our centre forward can’t keep the ball or even be an option in open play. If you get it into a striker who can hold it up it naturally makes teams come in narrower and that creates more space wide. Into the striker and then out wide gives us such a different option and the pass is easier to make. What we do is pass pass pass in midfield then go wide but it’s not done sharp and quick enough and it’s easier to defend. That’s where we struggled against shit low block teams especially at home last season.
This is why I’m all for Toney as well because it gives you a different option of playing the same style of football.

One thing that can't be disputed by anyone is that if we sign Neto and Eze for 60m and 50m plus wages, Ange has been backed. At least to a similar level to Arteta has been at those cunts down the road.
Backed, yes.

Backed as much as Arteta? Absolutely not.

The day Levy goes toe to toe with a club the size of City to bring in a 100 million player, then you can say he’s backed his manager the same way Woolwich have.

(Spoiler: it’s never going to happen under ENIC)

Who thought we'd be in a world where both Emerson AND Spence each staked a claim to be kept!!

Didn't that used to be the other way round....?
JUST 'cos they were Brazilian, everyone thought they'd be fantastic!!
Gomes... Moura... Paulinho!
I swear we were blinded by the yellow shirt sometimes!

Eze all day... (Plus haven't Palace just bought a winger?)🤔

Neto's fitness won't last 5 minutes under Ange's training regime!
Paulinho was UNBELIEVABLY shit.

He's good enough, doesn't matter if he has one move - he commits players and beats them, that's what we need.

The issue with him is his injury record.

That's a fair point. Especially considering they also signed Havertz for 65m and Timber for 38m in the same transfer window.

We all know Levy would never be that aggressive in one transfer window.

People's opinions on Neto are so interesting, considering he basically has the exact strengths and weaknesses of Werner, but is much more injury prone.

Werner isn't as bad as people make out though. He's got his limitations, but he is incredibly effective in this set up.

Looking at Werner at times last season showed you how good this system would be if you had someone who can take on his man and put a cross in.

Neto is a much better footballer than Werner.

He's a slightly better dribbler, "a much better footballer" is stretching it a lot. He's the same sort of player, ball carrier, crosser, terrible finisher.

As painful as it is, the way they’re going about things is as solid as you’re going to see in terms of building a team to compete and win things.

They realised they have an excellent manager in Arteta, they let him trim and mould the squad the way he wants, and they have consistently backed him with quality players in the 30/40/50/60 million price range every window. And to add to that, if they believe there’s a player out there to really make a difference, they’ve shown they are willing to go balls to the wall to bring in a 100 million player.

And here’s the thing, whisper is quietly for some around here, there is absolutely no reason why we shouldn’t be able to act like them. Absolutely zero.
We were in an almost identical position to them 5 years ago with Pochettino and our owners made and absolutely cock and balls of it, showing without absolutely any doubt that they have no ambition to really make us a top side to genuinely compete.
