Why do people hate the Solanke links so much? He's a decent player, 19 goals while playing for Bournemouth is pretty damn good.
Realistically though, he'd cost about as much as Gyokeres.

Gyokeres would cost more and he’s one of the sexiest names on the #9 market.

I actually like Solanke though. He’s a unit but has some pace and works really fucking hard out of possession. If you can score 19 goals for a mid table team whilst working that hard, and you are home grown, you have something about you

I'm really not sure he would. Bournemouth don't need the money, and reliable strikers are like gold dust for bottom half teams, without him they're in a real risk of getting into a relegation battle.

Ey?

Nothing in Romanos tweet suggests that at all.
But that is the likely source of Romano's information- agent or intermediary. I don't think he has sources inside the club anymore since Paratici stepped down.

"no formal bid"

So, pointless tweet then.
Why?
There are probably many stages of buying a player:
1. He is on a club's internal list.
2. Club makes informal contact with agents/ intermediaries.
3. Club makes formal offer to club and player.

P'OK revealed Solanke was on 1., and now we appear to have progressed to 2. Do you disagree?

Oishmen's heart is set on PSG, but it is a bit disappointing that we're seemingly not even competing for Gyokeres.
My boss is a massive PSG fan and he’s been convinced all summer that he’s going there.

I’m actually not that big on Osimhen. Maybe I’ve just never seen him play well though but he’s not world class by a long stretch and that’s going to cost world class money

PSG don't appear to be willing to pay the release clause for Oishmen but I reckon he will go eventually after Napoli compromise.

I think Iraola is confident enough to not want to keep a player who wants out, and would probably have an ideal striker in mind who could lead their press, as that’s how he wants them to create a lot of chances.

Won’t be a bad signing as he works hard and can play but he’s almost certainly not a Drogba

They've spent a fair whack Bournemouth without much in return the last few years.

Since they've been back in the Prem., they've spent £225m and made little less than £10m in sales...

FFP must be catching up to them sooner rather than later.

I disagree that he's on anything other than list 1.
