Porro would get into any squad in the Euros with sensible selection ffs
Romero is world class already and I think you could argue the other 4 have a great chance of getting there.
We are really doing such a disservice to their talents by not throwing everything at improving the front line.
The fact Romero plays in the same team as Brennan Johnson is quite incredible when you think about it.

Coupled with Udogies ability to score and we really could have goals coming from anywhere!
...and it would certainly help compensate for the anticipated lack of goals that won't be coming from positions they SHOULD be!

All those seasons with Kane up top, and we bemoaned that he had the likes of Dier, Royal, Sanchez, Lenglet conceding faster than he could score them...
Now we're almost there opposite!
The only real time I think we had the most complete forward and back line, was during the Toby/Jan era, with Kane, Son and Dele/Eriksen scoring for fun...
How the FUCK we didn't win anything with that team is anyone's guess!
It's the history of Spurs. Ledley King, Gareth Bale, Luka Modic, Harry Kane. Surrounded by utter mediocrity.
Yep we struggled for years with some shocking defenders and prime Kane/Son up top and now we've completely swapped it round. So frustrating.
Bale, Modric, Van Der Vaart and Ledley all played in the same team...... Lennon, Defoe, Corluka etc. as the supporting cast weren't mediocre.
Kane, Son, Hugo, Walker, Rose, Jan, Toby, Eriksen, Dele (not his brother), Dembele.... That was mediocre?
There have been moments where we were almost the full package (top under Redknapp and then signing Nelson and Saha) and peak Poch years.
But we also wasted Kane and Son's prime years by letting the squad disintegrate around them post Poch.
A much fairer synopsis.
Porro could have a fucking monster season with a legit rotation option like Spence to keep him fresh

I actually wondered if anyone would be vapid enough to do the 'VDV ..was good' shtick. I wasn't saying there were not an occasional other decent player or two. That's precisely on brand. Just enough competence to kid the credulous we are competing. It's funny the names you highlight, because but for zero cartlige they couldn't get away quick enough. Your a good bloke but you are becoming the caricature your detractors accuse you of being. We've had two teams that were above average in twenty plus year. Yeah that's the ticket.
If you genuinely think (as you originally stated) that, aside from 5 players, we've had nothing 'bang average' players in recent memory that you're your own kind of "vapid" and are "caricaturing" yourself.
(You're an odd guy yourself.... Seemingly "good" also and happy to post agrees and likes on my posts, but lightening quick to flip to insults and being a proper prickly git if I'm ever 'brave' to have an alt. point of view to you.............
