No idea. I just felt we'd take that approach and that CP might listen as it helps them keep their tax bill down.

If Guehi is off as well though, I think CP will dig their heels in, otherwise they'll have pitchforks at the door for selling off all the Crown jewels.

We'll have to wait and see, but I'm not confident they'll get CP to agree any terms other than "meet the asking price all upfront or do one."

Having said that, it's no excuse. As has already been posted on here, we can take out a loan and pay that in installments. I doubt the interest would tally more than what we'd have to pony up, over and above the release clause, to get them to agree with staggered payments.
I get your point but we're that loaded we don't need a loan to sign Eze. We could've signed 3 or 4 x 100mil players, paid it all up front, given them 250 gs pw each and still be way fine.

Exaggerating slightly but you get the gist.

What the fucks he got to smile about ?

Exactly. Every player is available at a price.
This nonsense "what top strikers are available" is just that...Nonsense.
Was Kane "available " last year? Or did Bayern just persevere in pursuit of their man and finish up making a deal our Chairman couldn't refuse.
Yes lol it was the last year of his contract. Romero on the other hand was not available, that's why we quoted Madrid 150m. Sure you could say they could just pay the 150m, but clubs don't work like that.

Yes I’m saying that too, but posters keep saying name me someone better than so and so

Because there isn't anyone :angeshock:

The convo you're responding to was from a post that said that Richy should be replaced with a "top notch" (another nothing term) striker - easy thing to say but no-one wants to even suggest a name which tells you three things:

a) They can't think of one because there isn't one on the market.
b) They're just saying it because they expect someone to come in but haven't really looked at the options.
c) They're just moaning for the sake of it.

If it's so easy why aren't people suggesting a replacement, this isn't the same as doing the scouts job, we're literally asking you to suggest someone for the sake of the debate.

It's been 2/3 days since this Solanke link has come up and I haven't seen one sensible suggestion for a "top notch striker" from anyone as opposed to him or now if Richy leaves, if we can't do it then how are you expecting our scouts to do it? lol

Just because you me and people on here don’t know a top notch striker (whatever the fuck that means) to replace Richarlison doesn’t mean their isn’t one out there.
I don’t really watch much football outside of spurs but solanke and Toney are better than Richarlison and that’s just lazy picking out the guys we are linked with

I'd honestly prefer 2 punts on unproven younger forwards at around £30m each than go for fucking Dom Solanke tbh.
Hard to know what the market for players is. When Kane left you heard lots of talk about paying the outrageous price Brighton would be asking for Evan Ferguson. He's going to be a very good player but he'll probably end up at Chelsea or one of the other big spending clubs.
