But we don't need food chain signings. That’s the point. For the first summer ever we are effectively at/close to the top of that food chain. There’s a bunch of top target type players who aren’t moving because all the big boys have their hands tied with FFP and whatnot.

This is what Levy’s methodology has all been about. Or should be.

270k a week but he's only got a year left on his deal.

Loan with option to buy would be great. Cover the bulk of his wages and if he does well we can make it permanent next summer. By then he'd be 29 and he's not going to get that same salary anywhere (except Saudi I suppose) so we would be in a good position to negotiate that down.

It's why I am completely calm about incomings

I don't think we really need any additions but if we do get a couple in it will be due to patience , slow and steady wins the race

Neto and Eze in before their 50th birthdays would be perfectly acceptable
