A good season at Bournemouth?.....
Surely not letting Veliz out on loan unless we’re confident a striker is incoming?
This transfer window has been seriously underwhelming but maybe ( clutching at straws ) it could prove a silver lining if Gray, Bergval and Moore bring youth ,energy, intensity and fearlessness to the team.
Though clearly the defensive issues of last season still need to be addressed and I , like many others, am fairly nonplussed at the prospect of Solanke leading the line….
Still time however… COYS.
?.......most strikers/players are bought via current form aren't they?......So we're thinking of signing him based on last season only, and ignoring the rest of his career.
That's the market my friend, everyone who is available has flaws like that...even the flavour of the month Gyokeres' record doesn't come up favourably compared to Solanke...it just is what it is...
Market is really volatile and 1 breakout season these days earns you big moves, gotta move with the times.
Besides all that I don't think the scouts will just be looking at his goalscoring record and will be looking at what else he brings to the table...
Apparently he was good last season. Good stats.
Well he doesn't seem to have a bad injury record. Good at holding the ball up etc, I think i'd put him on par with Jonathan David.
Maybe we prefer Solanke because of his Premier League experience.
Is that what we did with Richarlison??.......most strikers/players are bought via current form aren't they?......![]()
Only scores on rebounds? As I said it depends what you mean by 2nd rate, you should probably explain that before I answer it - they're both subjective terms.
Brentford likely asking for too much £££ for a player with 1 year left.I just still don’t understand why not a single team has moved for Toney. Has a club told him not to go anywhere as they’ll come in for him late in the window? Either that or he will sign a new contract at Brentford. They won’t want to lose him for nothing.

POK said on the LWOS the other day that Arteta had a video call with Toney early in the window, and was put off him after it.
I'd suggest he's behind Lankshear in the pecking order now.Surely not letting Veliz out on loan unless we’re confident a striker is incoming?
The same arteta who plays and defended Partey. I’m not sure I’d judge him on people’s characters. Nevermind some of his comments about conquering his wife. If anything, arteta not wanting him makes me want him!
