You can’t buy all bargain bin. We can fill a lot of positions with clever deals like Bergvall but we can’t do all of them like that. There will be times we need a player profile and the only one that fits the metrics is £70m. Then it’s a question of are we a serious club.
 
if Richy does go to Saudi, and I’m still not convinced it’ll happen, I cannot believe we’ll only bring one striker in. Would be crazy to have one CF when we’ve got so many Europa games coming up.

That’s what’s wrong with today's game. Football should be there to be enjoyed and these types of players made us do that. Now we get some lauding the likes of Richarlison who runs and bumbles through a game with zero skill. But stat people tell me these types of players are good. Are they fuck! My eyes told me Berbatov,Van Der Vaart,Modric and Ledley were top top players. Didn’t need a chart telling me about passes,interceptions,assists,duels and pressing stats. Fuck that shit.

The people who are desperate for us to sign Eze and now rate Bowen and the same people who would have slated the club for looking at them when they were at QPR and Hull respectively.

FWIW I live in Coventry and have watched Gyokeres a lot, he's built for the PL. An absolute monster in strength, and is quick. I think he'd suit our system, but 100m euros is a lot.

£70 million quid to get Gyokeres who fits everything we need. Has quite a similar profile to Kane but can press and is quick. We are rich enough I don’t care how much we spend on a player. If that one player changes things for us then do it.

Not many players like that now sadly. Isak and Olise two that spring to mind but not many. Its all about athletes, pressing and possession at all costs which is why football has mostly got really bloody boring.
