Terrence Ross Wow GIF

Guess we'll see, but that seems hard to believe. We were competing with the big Italian clubs in order to sign him, and now he's been loaned by a La Liga club.

Lo Celso is not mediocre, he's injury prone. You'd think we'd want to avoid injury prone players, but apparently we're looking at Neto.

Lo Celso is a creative midfielder who has played 77 games in the league for Tottenham and created five goals whilst scoring three.

He is the dictionary definition of mediocre at premier league level. There are a horde of players more suited and more effective in this league.

I’m a bit disappointed in our data analysts and scouts if they’ve scoured the market and the best they can come up with for nearly 70 million pounds is a player who has hit double figures in the premier league once.

I don’t know what he has great stats mean other than he had a good goalscoring season. The rest of his underlying numbers are not super impressive.

Again, I like him. I rated him last season and if he signs I won’t shit on it. But if Woolwich hijacked this and signed him next week the amount of backtracking some of you would do is monumental.

Symptom of the market that, it's just dead...we're limited in who can improve us in that regard.

He mostly either played for terrible teams or didn't have the legs to play like in the recent season. His per 90 stats for us in the last season or for Villarreal are fantastic, as are his performances for Argentina. He was also fantastic before we bought him.

He’s good in Spain and he’s good for Argentina alongside a long list of actually quite average central midfielders who work internationally in a very good setup.

‘Per 90’ can go to hell. He was fit for large parts of last season and still Ange wasn’t touching him.

The guy physically and mentally isn’t suited to English football.

I think the striker market is just shit, honestly.
That's certainly a part of it.

The true super strikers are all signed up and with no reason to leave their respective clubs.

And there's also a very noticeable gap between the true top strikers and the rest nowadays. There's a lot of good strikers out there. Solanke, Toney, Gyökeres, David et al. But there's not really a "very good tier" these days like there used to be. The likes of Haaland, Kane, Mbappe and such are just producing at a level that makes it a very steep gap that's almost unfair to expect 99% of the striker market to close.

And as a result we look at perfectly good strikers as not good enough.
