Pretty much the same team that got 5thWelcome to 8th place if all we go into the season with is what I just outlined.
Mixed bag to meDo you not believe the signings the last few seasons have been operating better than the 5 years previous?
Buys
Romero
Porro
VDV
Sarr
Udogie
Vicario
Maddison
Dragusin
Gray
Bergvall
I would say all good quality signings with high ceilings for many.
Obviously we have had some misses, everyone does though and there can't be an expectation for perfection.
Also we have been moving on our deadwood much better the last couple of years too.
So if operating better is what you want to see, then surely better has been achieved.
Not to say we are run as well or spend like we should...
I don't remember Palmer ever being in the reckoningI hope Ange isn't over thinking this Solanke signing. Going for someone because he 'fits the system' rather than the more obvious talent (Toney).
Last year still bugs me that maybe Ange chose Brennan over Palmer.
Levy’s only had 25 years you melt. Give him a chance ! #25moreYEARSAnybody that thought the new members of the team would bring change have been gullible again. Facts are facts. Levy has NEVER fully backed any of his Managers. The man only wants to invest money to gain financial returns. It’s not rocket science.
Agree- Neto could be a great signing but is a big muscular injury risk... we should try and play him once a week if possible. No surprise - we need wide players most of all and Neto is a better winger than Eze. His question mark is fitness but he’s a pretty perfect fit stylistically while having a lot more up his sleeve than Werner or Johnson.
They also had a better season than us by winning the fa cup. Bloody hell. Imagine winning an fa cup!Problem is we are not in a Dissimilar position to Utd the difference is they have made two signings for their first team. There is talk of them doing 2/3 more this window. The fact is we would have probably finished behind them last season if they did not have to play Johnny Evans at CB for 10-15 games.
Can't wait to visit www.ffp-kangz.co.uk/enic-bot-articles/moving-past-2018I'm hoping you undergo a swift rehabilitation, I'm raising funds for the victims of 2018 and hopefully we'll have a support group up and running soon.
We use to win those. They also had a better season than us by winning the fa cup. Bloody hell. Imagine winning an fa cup!
Tides also go out.
So today saying we'll buy players makes you an ENIC bot, I wonder what it'll be tomorrow? Claiming we have players on the payroll? That we'll finish in the top half of the table?
I can’t remember how I felt then so I’m not going to make something up.Thanks for the triggered non-sequitur response without answering the question.
Granted this does not mean that we necessarily need to sell him to buy Solanke, but rather that we will sell him and buy Solanke, but people will interpret that as they will.
Well our form in 2024 would have us 13th I believe but I'll bite
Dragusin and Bergvall signings look good
Improved style of play - albeit naive to the extreme
Plenty of deadwood cleared out
I'll add the Synthetic turf partnership as a Brucie bonus
1. Our stadium has two pitches, fucking two!3 positives about our club in 2024.
Any real fan would find it easy to shoot straight on that (even if you have a hundred criticisms).
Go.
Sounds like supporting spurs brings you a lot of joy. I’m happy for you.1. Our stadium has two pitches, fucking two!
2. Go-karts are coming - i'm actually a massive go-karting fan
3. Our beer fills up from the bottom (drops mic)
There's zero way a "club with ambition" goes into a season with a brand new striker with 1 good season at Bournemouth being backed up by a youth academy prospect with 0 minutes of senior football. It absolutely does.
It would take special kind of idiot to let 60 m EUR player rot on the bench.
He hasn't fullfilled even quarter of expectations and such players have to be moved on before they become worthless.
That's how clubs with ambitions operate; unless they have some oil-rich sugardaddy and dubious sponsorship deals. Just look at Aston Villa and Diaby. Or Bayern and Mane or Gravenbach.
Literally the alternative would be to keep him as substitute player and see him sold for 10 mil in 2 years time. So whenever there will be offer 30+ mil EUR from Saudis, he has to be on his way out, granted we'll get a suitable ST in.
Scenes when we loan Reguilon to ourselves.
