It’s like “what is the point”I fear Veliz is the next player to join the eternal winter of pointless loans until we sell him for a derisory amount in a couple of years.
Another impact signing.

Mate, please. So Slot used pre season to assess his squad but there's no way Ange could do the same thing when he took the team on tour? Do you not think there's any coincidence that business picked up when we got back to London, just like last season? Do you not see the flaw in your argument?
If this was Ange's first season and we hadn't signed anyone until now you would have been apoplectic with rage and anyone rightly would but your energy switches when it comes to anyone but your own club, you have a massive blind spot.
Does t mean he couldn’t be top tier in Ange’s system. He is 26 and his best season tally prior to last season was six goals. I can reel off a very long list of mediocre strikers who had a one off great goalscoring season, if you’d like.
FYI, I actually don’t think he’s subpar. But he definitely isn’t top tier and massively goes against the idea we’d rather wait to sign a ‘perfect’ player than overpay for a less than perfect one.
70 million for him is laughable. He was still behind xG last season, Bournemouth were great offensively. One good season shouldn’t make a player worth that fee.
Not Levy’s fault Kane left, misguided comment.Let me get this right. Levy has taken us from Kane to solanke in under a year and even got some of you convinced it’s a good Idea.
It’s spursholm syndrome, how on earth is he still alive.
50 games, someone doesn’t think we’ll go far in the Europa and the cupsExactly. I’ve no idea where the “we have to sell Richy to buy Solanke” argument has come from but it’s idiotic. Reeks of ENIC-apologist Stockholm syndrome to think that way.
We’ll play 50 matches this season with Europa and cups. We need more than one half decent striker. The Solanke and Neto (striker and winger) signings should be budgeted in regardless. we should be able to afford two quality attackers with our PSR advantages.
Richy leaving is a bonus, one that should be reinvested into Eze or another quality attacker. What he does should not impact Solanke/Neto at all. If we sold Richy and replaced him with Solanke, we’re right back where we were in 21-22 with no real backup striker other than Son and no real quality on the wings. And trust me, Solanke is no Harry Kane.
Milan are £1 short of Levy’s valuation.Milan piss taking again. They'll bid 30m plus on a player a few days after they sign Emerson.
Mate, please.
Ange took over a team that was an absolute rabble, 8th in the table 30 points off winning the league and one that hasn’t won a trophy in approaching 2 decades.
Slot took over a team that has won every trophy there is to win over the last 5 years and was amongst the best in the league last season.
It is literally incomparable.
You’re just embarrassing yourself at this point.
They really are going for a zero net spend eh?b
It looks like they were waiting for a solid offer for Richy before pulling the trigger on Solanke
By persuaded you mean being made an offer they litterally couldn't refuse. He has a £65m release clause - the only figure that is currently being reported that we're deciding whether to match. You miss out the point that Bournemouth may not have wanted to sell Solanke at the start of the window.
But they may have been persuaded to change their mind by Spurs and the player - still to be seen of course
I know that Levy is a cunt.Gréât that you know Levy’s plans.
Any insight into Munn’s plans?
Or Lange’s?
Rob Mackenzie?
Frederik Leith?
Or the rest of the scouting team?
Sounds like you’re itk.
I think it was just sarcasm aimed at a poster who labelled fans who criticise ENIC as wife beaters, mate.
Anyone with a slight bit of football knowledge knows Toney > Solanke
Clearly a case of nepotism
I really don’t understand why this thread exists. It’s 1500 pages of total bollocks about players we either won’t sign, can’t sign or shouldn’t sign. Then whoever we do sign is hailed as the solution when in reality no fucker has any clue if that will be the case.Gee just read 12 pages of this boring shite. It’s like watching two caged dogs growling at each other.
Bring back the political threads
We’re Tottenham Hotspur when do we ever do well in both?50 games, someone doesn’t think we’ll go far in the Europa and the cups![]()
[Word on the street] Tier 2Word on the street is that Richy has been told he has no future at the club due to his injury not allowing him to compete at the level Ange needs.
Offer from Saudi, but he wants to stay and fight for his place.
