lol so you're gonna totally ignore my point about Ange using the tour to asses his squad and certain players yet use the exact same argument for Slot doing the same thing, you're just gonna sit there and contradict yourself and use all sorts of mental gymnastics just to pursue this weird agenda, okay then

NIce use of conflating era's as well just to twist your argument, the team that Slot took over won the Carabao cup and finished 3rd mate, they haven't won the league for 4 years and the CL for 5 so let's not act like Liverpool are coming off the back of their peak and their squad is perfect, there was and still is work to be done and seeing as you have been so vocal about teams not standing still and not pushing on when we had the chance (namely us) it's funny to see you now say what they're doing is a perfect strategy, you're very sneaky...don't worry I see you homie :sonpoint:
Im not going to ignore it, I’ll call it out for the cobblers it is. It may have escaped your notice, but Ange has been here for a year you sausage. What more is he going to learn about players from another pre season tour? :angeshock:

Again, I’m going to offer friendly advice. Stop posting on this issue, you are embarrassing yourself.

Grow up. He's free to post on this topic just as much as you are. You're in no position to tell anyone what they can and cannot do.

Don't bother replying either, because what you have to say doesn't interest me.

ENIC did a very good job at getting us to where we are now compared to where we were when they came in. Also they deserve credit for the new stadium and training facilities.
The problem is that they achieved their goal in making us a club that is profitable and qualifies for the CL enough and are happy with where we are
Yep. All off the pitch stuff is ok.
But we football fans don't get to cheer that stuff, it makes no different to me if they hit their goals in the boardroom.

Have a look at the players he took on tour, half of those players it's the first time he's actually managed to work with them?

Btw you have a weird habit of doing this...saying I'm embarrassing myself on a forum where we're all here to speak complete speculative shit all day will never not be funny to me, you take this place far too seriously, , I know you're desperate to protect your online reputation but it aint that deep fella - we're not in the house of commons 😆

I was watching the Overlap and they were all saying on there how if they missed some of preseason then it was hard to come back from. Neville said he missed all of two and he could never get to the same physical level as the rest of the players during the season. If we have players coming in and missing all of ours then it is going to be a problem. It’s why Ange probably wanted them in early. He knows that the way we train and play they’ll get injured. Although I guess that raises the question of why not give them a preseason again when they join and don’t play them for a month. Poch did this and got pelters, although I don’t remember the player then getting injured.
Unfortunately all our managers want early signings, however for various reasons it isn't possible.
It does seem funny that, ange started talking about getting things done last week on tour, then all of a sudden the solanke rumours surface.
Could be coincidental, but on the other hand probably levy dragging his heels again.

Yeah hopefully bollocks

To be honest, it's quite obvious (as has been all summer), journalists haven't got a clue what's going on.

Fab says we had talks. Some have said we haven't.

This stinks of journalists trying to get ahead of the curve by mentioning us and Toney all bexause Ali Gold mentioned he was on a list of players last week and recent reports that Bournemouth want 60+ for Solanke.

coming from you !! lol

And Liverpool look pretty strong all over the park. They probably need a new centre back too and to sort their keeper situation out but apart from that their squad is strong. Questions over them will be about the manager and his ability in England. I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes either way for him at the start.

With us it just feels like an injury anywhere to our starting XI and we become weak and who is to say that won’t happen again. It’s why I thought we needed a good 5 or 6 decent players in this window but we’ll be well short of that. Another fullback or two, centre back, defensive midfielder, winger and striker. I mean, it does not even sound excessive does it?

It absolutely does, sorry.

Fuck this talk about "5-6 decent players". We have decent already.
I want 3 brilliant players. Changes much more.

I'd still say that if we'd get Emerson, Eze and Gyorkes, it would have been very good window.

Centerback, after we purchased Dragusin and he almost had 0 chance to play??? Why? Unless you want another Joe Rodon in.
We have Romero, VDV, Dragusin, Davies and then some young guns (like Phillips) on top of it.

Regarding fullbacks, we have Udogie and Porro to start. It seems more likely than not that Spence might get another chance.

So we have
LB options - Udogie, Davies, VDV and Spence
RB options - Porro, Gray, Spence

Why buy "decent" player there when we could focus on improving starting XI (and players dropping in from XI can be used as cover/substitute)?
