They're busy selectively picking out the seasons where we spent a lot and hiding the many seasons we didn't, to try to paint a picture that we're fucking massive.

It's like watching Flat Earthers making their case at this stage. They both need medicating.
Just can’t believe how many TFC posters beat their wifes. Just brazen about it too. I’m shocked!! Shocked!!! Shame on you Matt and rest of you lot (you know who you are). 🤣 🤣🤣

I genuinely have no idea what this is about.
It could be a really funny joke that I missed, or you failed to land, or it could be a vicious dig.
I have NFI

Lineker, Gazza, Klinsmann, Sherringham, Ginola, Ferdinand, etc. All big names at the top of their game.
Bonafide household names, superstars etc.
And yet people seem to think ENIC have made us bigger/better.

We got more penalties because we used to attack at speed and have numerical advantages IMO. Now we slow things down to a crawl and the opposition barely need to make a tackle anymore.

So you too are advocating a player who hardly ever scores goals from open play?
I think we're working this out different too, but 12 penalties over 3 seasons is 0.105 goals per game (12/114)
And last season our penalties equated to 0.05 goals per game with the same logic.

So what are we buying? Something most of our other players can do fairly comfortably most of the time.
Mate I'm agreeing with you. We converted 12 of our 13 penalties without Toney. At best with him we convert 13, at best.

Edit: actually in that same period in EPL games Toney scored 11 penalties from 12 attempts so no upgrade there.

Like you, I don't understand the people who argue that npG stats are not important, only G.

Where are the ENIC apologists now?

We’ve got a net spend of zero even though we’re the 8th richest club on the planet

We’re about to start a season yet again with Emerson and Davies as full back reserves

We’re about to start a season again with only Richarlison as a senior striker

I don’t see how people can defend them, it’s so clear to see
Make no mistake either mate, if Brentford hadn’t forced our hand I would bet my bottom dollar we would still be haggling now with Leeds over the Gray deal aswell.

It’s been an utter shitshow of a window from them once again.

I’m probably one of the most patient fans going. Often mistaken for a ‘happy clapper’, but like to think I’m just a realist.

But this window is is almost already unforgivable. Almost at the point now where it doesn’t matter what happens between now and the end of the month.

The league is 38 games long. Why give up 4 or 5 of those to potentially reduce a fee? It never makes any sense to me. Pretty much making a signing for a season where you’ve already given up the ground. So bizarre.

Maybe being overly dramatic, but I can’t see the point now, unless we put all our eggs in Europa and FA Cup - which we won’t. We never do.

Arrrrrrgh.

For me the fact that Solanke wasn’t at the Euros makes this an indefensible hold up. What the fuck are we doing, starting negotiations in August for him?

Either a) we had another target which we were chasing which has now fallen thru, making Solanke a last ditch second option, or b) we fucked about for 2 months on our top target when we could’ve done all the groundwork for this deal in June.

Neither fill me with confidence.
