club record fee doesn't necessarily mean we've triggered the release clause.

If its our club record fee, it most likely has been. If it's Bournemouths record fee, then probably not.

The fact the wording "triggered release clause" hasn't been mentioned probably tells us we haven't though.

Unless the negotiation has been going on for so long because we wanted to structure it in a way that prevents Liverpool getting a huge wedge

Solanke, Richarlison, Son, Kulusevski , Johnson and Werner.

We definitely still need 1 more.

I think we'll get one more. (right winger)

Whether it's Neto or not I don't know - but I do think we'll sign one. There's plenty out there who fit the profile but I do prefer us to pursue our number one target, even if it drags on then fall for a second or third option.

I note that Ange likes big, athletic players. Our signings this summer - Bergvall (1.86m), Gray (1.88m), Solanke (1.87m). Defending set pieces should be a lot easier as the team gets bigger. Players likely leaving are midgets by comparison: Skipp (1.75m), Lo Celso (1.77m), Solomon (1.70m)

We don't want to pay release clauses though cause of the lump sum aspect.
Personally I'm just happy I won't have to see Ndombele's name anymore on those record fee lists.

I imagine the payments are staggered over 5 years. Which may end up more than the release clause then if that's the case.

Hence the clear lack of the words release clause.
