Think it's best to send him out now if we are keeping Richie, will be behind him, Solanke and Deki you would think. We seem to be keeping all our other forwards.
So Solanke coming in means he is replacing Gil and/or Solomon, both of whom almost anonymous, - so Solanke is a huge upgrade.
Solanke adds both goals and pressing, so we are a lot better off than last season .
If Lankshear stays on, at least until Christmas to see how he fares, he's another option who can cokme on for the last 30 mins against tired legs and cause havoc.
Hey there SexyA happy thread it seems for now
No doubt there's gonna be a couple of people conspicuous by their absence, you know who I'm talking about, don't need to name them
He got 25 in 49 in all comps in 95/96 and because he was an explosive fast player, the injuries did really take away what made him special.Succeeding Jurgenn Klinsmann was always going to be a tough ask for Chris Armstrong (although as you say he did very very well in his first season) but to add to that he was then Spurs record signing at £4.5m with all the expectations that went with that.
He did form a good strike force with Sheringham as well, but injuries meant that he only managed about 65 appearances over his first 3 seasons with us - and only 17 goals, not a disaster but not the level hoped for. And over the 7 full seasons at Spurs 141 appearances and 48 goals. Disappointing and frustrating for both player and club I suspect
Nah, they would have cooked. Like Ferdinand and Shearer, although similar, they worked it out.

Berkamp worked well as the technical one playing with Ian Wright who was more direct.Bergkamp was a top player no doubt but him and sheringham would not have been a good partnership
I wasn't sure so I looked them up. 14 goals and 22 assists in 3 seasons in the Prem over 82 games.
There was such a noticeable drop in his speed after his ankle went. It finished him.He got 25 in 49 in all comps in 95/96 and because he was an explosive fast player, the injuries did really take away what made him special.
Are you happy that it took until a week before the season started to get in a player from Bournemouth, who had a release clause and who didn't play in any tournaments?
Seeing as he was always the target why did he have to miss out on a full pre-season with his new teammates, is that in the best interests of the team going forward?
If he scores 18 league goals next season, will you be underwhelmed? If Postecoglou wants Solanke then it's for him to ensure he is what we need.
I could not be less underwhelmed at the thought of signing a striker I have never ever thought I wished we had.
Can't see how this makes us a better side but we shall see.

Absolutely.Chris Armstrong was very good in his first season. Injuries killed him afterwards and Spurs fans never applied that context.
You can't see how having an athletic, pressing, reliable striker improves us? Really? If Postecoglou wants Solanke then it's for him to ensure he is what we need.

But as always, every season, we start with a player(s) who isn't acclimatized to the team.Certainly not perfect.
But we are signing a player for 5 years, not 5 minutes, and he will catch up within a month or two

Good club hope they stay up personallyLet's hope Bournemouth get relegated into oblivion, fuck Bournemouth.
I think I’d keep him for the first half of the season. We’ll have 8 Europa games and league cup games. If he’s not getting enough I’m sure we could line up a championship club in JanReally down to Ange. If he wants to keep Lankshear at Spurs following a very good pre-season then he has to 'promise' or plan for Lankshear to get say 400 - 500 minutes of playing time - if Ange cannot do that then a loan where he gets playing time is essential
