Wrong.

He has played 8 PL seasons in his career.
2 separate seasons in the Championship.

If you try and make a mug of someone, at least have your facts correct.
Hang on. He's 26, so if he's had 10 seasons, you're effectively going back to when he was 16. You're honestly using the years between 16 and 19 as a stick to beat him with?

Interestingly enough, in the 3 years of his "senior" team time at Chelsea, he never played a single game in the PL, and only had 21 appearances for Liverpool, again behind Salah, Firminho and Mane.

As with everything, context is important. His first "real" season in the PL came with Bournemouth in 2020 when they were relegated. He then had 2 seasons in the Championship, before returning to the PL, with Bournemouth, for the 22/23 season, where they once again struggled but managed to stay up. It was with the advent of Iriola, and his front foot Football, that Solanke then hit his straps.

So, for context, he's had 3 seasons in the PL as a first choice striker, not 10. 29 goals in 134 appearances may not look great, but again, context. Bournemouth were woeful as an attacking team until Iriola turned up. As soon as he did, Solanke showed his ability as a striker.

I can understand some of the trepidation with him, but context always needs to be applied when evaluating a player's career to date.

This is the most unexcited I think I've ever been in all my time as a Tottenham fan for such a 'big' signing.

Sell Harry, buy Solanke, nice profit. Same M.O. as usual from ENIC tbh.

Hope he finds his goalscoring touch early tbh.

(6 cockwombles disagreeing with: My levels of excitement, the fact we've made a profit downgrading our forward options or me wanting him to find goals early?)

Nobody fucking cares, so no need for you to keep looking.

He's far from a chancer, and usually relatively accurate, no matter what nonsense you try to post in order to desperately prove your claim.

You're taking this far too seriously, and it's weird.

End of discussion.
I'm looking because someone said "can't wait" when I didn't even direct the initial post at him.
what's actually weird is why are you so defensive over an opinion? just ignore my post and move on.

I'm concerned that we don't seem to have got a back up goalkeeper yet, what's going to happen if Vicario gets injured?

I'm not sure about Austin at all and don't know what's happening with Forster.

It’s an uninspiring signing on the face of it. “Bang average” springs to mind.
However, I saw enough early last season to trust Ange to get it right. If we’re firing, we will be unplayable at times. And there’s absolutely no way Levy would have gone on a frolic of his own with a £60+ million “punt”. He’s got to be an Ange request (surely) at that money? Am hoping that he’s everything we need and more. Good luck to him.
