Greaves has 220 Spurs league goals and Kane has 213 so it's much of a muchness tbh. Kane could come back for a year at 33/34 and see that off.
Their records are so similar. However it's extremely hard to compare them, as neither is likely to be has good as the other if they swapped eras.
They absolutely know they are going to get fucked with fines, PL points deductions and maybe even another transfer ban, so I guess this is them on a war footing, filling the freezer and cellar with all the food they can fit in it. It's their cost of doing business, it's fully factored into their costings.
The only thing that would totally and completely fuck them would be if the governing bodies mess with that financial forecast of Chavs by saying taking a % of sale profits made from player trading as part of their fine, as opposed to just dishing out fines. Governing bodies have to make sanctions big enough to act as deterant, rather than enable a club to predict and build them into their operations.
Eze is different level when factoring in availability
I think Udogie is pretty much the only exciting player we have. Doesn't look likely to change any time soon.
and with him starting on the right wing, top 4 is nothing short of a pipe dream. Our wingers can’t properly control the ball or do complex passing build-up play.
That’s before we even get to the complete lack of technical 1v1 ability. Johnson has his strengths but he only exacerbates the flaws in our larger attack as a whole - we give the ball away a lot, we can’t beat a low block because we haven’t got the technical ability, and we’re incredibly susceptible to counters as a result.
Eze is a different level without factoring availability as well. There's no question which is the better player, the question is about which position we need to reinforce.
Just go and lay the money down for Eze before that goes pear shaped. We'd still need a RW but what the hell. Be nice to have someone fun to watch.
