Players have a finite amount of time to A. Win trophies and B. Make a shit ton of money in the process - not only for themselves, but their families (not forgetting some are from backgrounds where they're carrying a lot more on their shoulders than you'd like to believe).
In our current position, we don't offer either anywhere near the level of many other clubs in the EPL or the rest of Europe so I don't understand where this hubris comes from whereby if you don't want to join Tottenham then you're the problem.

Assuming those stats are correct (no reason to believe otherwise) I think we have dodged a bullet. Undoubtedly he has talent. But those stats suggest he's a big risk.
My preference over Neto anyway, offers a lot more goal threat.
