We could have sold Richy and got Isak? Maybe? Agree though, well pleased

Do you think Newcastle would’ve sold to us? I think unlikely as they will see us as direct competition for fourth place.

What I meant was that Osimhen could’ve turned out to be that Isaak signing as in a player who has performed well in Europe but with a question mark over how he would fare in the Prem but has subsequently torn the league up and left other clubs wondering why they didn’t just bite the bullet and sign him.

I guess we will never know with Osimhen, surely he will leave Napoli but not sure to where.

Id really like to keep richarlison. He's solid when not relied on 90 minutes a game 2-3 times a week. He's also a great dressing room character and puts in a shift, which is what we need to expect from everyone on the squad.

Loves anime. If he ends up doing a kamehameha goal celebration I'll die.

Impressive, but I think you’ve got too much time on your hands.
Also, you missed out cranky and spanky.

To sum up my thoughts: Solanke is basically the most complete forward in the entire market.

You look at every aspect of a striker’s game in modern football he has it.

Aerially good. Strong frame at 6’2”, plays with his back to goal well. Smart passer. Can dribble. Wins headers in both boxes on set pieces. Can both be an outlet on the break with his pace and an intermediary a la Kane. He had a great understanding with Semenyo running off of him. Good technically, not afraid of using his left foot (although much better with his right). Scores all types of goals. Most importantly he is a demonic presser, great engine and intelligent too. Has the right mentality as well, no diva in him, hard working and moves on after a missed chance too.

He’s basically a 7 or 8/10 minimum in all attributes and will be a focal point for us. The issue is he’s not really above an 8/10 in any aspect of the game. He's not a great finisher, he’s not a physical monster, he’s not some technical wunderkind. So it is a bit much. But I think he will elevate our attack so much to have a focal point in there and an outlet in transition. Happy with this.
Look at the torrid time he gave Woolwich a couple weeks ago:

Decent post. But honestly....watching his shots on goal were nothing too exciting....He's nimble and coordinated enough to find space to give himself chances but he just seems to be slightly lacking in technical and finishing ability to be anything too exciting, but ALAS...I will give the man time and keep the faith. He's a 7/10 with potential to hit 7.5..... :nunothumb:

He's the equivalent of a Chris Armstrong signing at best.
