I believe you need to actually listen to what he says and learn the difference between his mentality and his strategy.
Sold to you like a cheap Chinese knock off Rolex. He said, "As somebody said to me last week, ‘Just do your job, Ange’. And my job is to try to bring success, and if you don’t think you’re going to be in the title race in 12 months’ time, then I don’t know why I’m here".

I don't see how we'll be challenging for anything with either his, 'mentality' or his 'strategy'.

But, who am I to yank you from your dream world.

PS: I always though mentality was complemented by strategy.

Honestly, I don't obsess about the fee like some.

Most of the best players we have seen play in the last 15/20 years have not been expensive and a lot of the expensive ones have been shite.

For me it is all about fit for the system and can they cut it in the prem.

Solanke ticks both of those boxes.... I don't particularly want to spend time for a striker to adjust to the pace and physicality of the league and whilst Dovbyk had a great season, who knows how long it will take him to get going here.
I hope it will pay off. I can understand Ange's mind set. He believes a player who wants to play for Spurs is better having around than one who just plays for glory or money. In the real players are in it to win trophies and get paid. Not everyone is a Harry Kane. And even he had to give up at some point.

In case anyone wasn't sure, Spence looks great going forward and has his bearings defensively as a RB but isn't really sure where to be as a LB with the ball going over the top of him.

We need a LB rotation for Udogie who can also do the attacking wrk.

For RW, I think Spurs could do worse than making an attempt for City's Oscar Bobb. Looks a magnificent talent.

Porto's Conçeição or PSV's Bakayoko I think would be good fits too.

Raphinha is 27 now but I would still take him too

As before need a winger and also a left back as we cannot rely on Udogie for the season. Spence clearly isn’t a left back and Davies doesn’t have the legs for that role.
