This is not me being pedantic, I think it's just become a term in the world of PSR and FFP, but that would be just "profit"
"pure profit" is a term reserved for the selling of an academy player. This part I'm not sure about, but the "pure profit" deals may also sidestep the amortization process. IE, if you sell a purchased player, the income is spread over the 5 years or payment plan, but if you sell an academy product, it all goes in on Y1. Like I say though, I'm not 100% sure on that part.

Speaking of all that, looks like we might start getting linked to Gallagher again soon :roflmao:
Fair enough - I just assumed if you buy a player for £10 million and sell him for £100 million for example then that would be £90 million pure profit? Oh well its a moot point any way as they will never sell Palmer and if they did they wouldn't sell him to us

See, this is where it gets interesting.
Deki took on and beat his man more often. But what did he do next? Did he put a dangers ball across the 6 yard box, or did he put his foot on the ball, and ultimately kill the play dead?
Did Werner beat his man and then assassinate Roy in Row Z?

And also, you can throw in the fact that each one of these players may have done more on the break, when there wasn't a man to take on anyway? Especially Werner and Johnson who have the pace to break the offside trap.

Stat are interesting, but sometimes they're just a part of a wider puzzle.
Yeah, and I don’t think Johnson is a useless player. He is good at very specific things and hopefully will take his finishing up a notch this year to really become a weapon.

But he does present us a problem in build up because of his limitations on the ball, particularly when paired with Sonny who has similar limitations. That’s why I’d like a very different type of RW so we can mix and match according to opponents and who’s playing on the other side.

Am I the only one not that bothered?

If it was a substance that had a negative impact on performance I’d be much more annoyed.

I get the club need to take a stance because it’s illegal but he’s not one of our captains so all we need him to do is play well and be professional when he’s at work

Agree. Some people are suggesting Bissouma should be left out of the squad for the trip to Leicester as punishment.

I think taking him to the city of Leicester is more of a punishment

It's just terminology. You're not wrong, but when saying it, you'll have people thinking you're talking about selling academy players.

So if Chelsea get Felix and Osimhen, how does that compare to us?

Neto, Nkunku, Palmer, Felix, Maduiki, Osimhen, Jackson
I'm sure certain Spurs Fanatics will try to convince everyone we're still better.

Although I can see a painful start for Chelsea again this season. I just don't think we'll get that 10 game head start over them like last season.

Edit - and there it is..... like fucking clockwork.

Nah Starks Starks is right it will happen in the end. He's apparently already out there and met the playing staff
Did a stadium tour and all sorts.
But if Atletico can't afford him and Alvarez and prioritize Alvarez.....
They were gonna pay with one player and now they're trying to use Felix.
It's all a bit desperate by both clubs really.

No, squeaky was referring to Bissouma’s voice after inhaling.😂😂😂
Laughing gas doesn't do that.
In fact, you'll hear your own voice sound deeper and slower when you speak.

*or so I've been told

Well it is a substance that can cause permanent nerve damage.

That sounds like it could have a negative effect on performance to me.
