What is the current status of their squad in terms of meeting PL and/or ECL squad limits?

I always find it amusing that Ally Gold gives a (very very very) extensive rundown of our potential issues on that front, but I never seem to hear the media mention that regarding Chelsea.

Surely they'd have to leave players out at things stand?
Well they currently have 43 in the senior squad so yes, they'll need to leave a few out.

It's just fucking insanity. While I get that money talks, it seems increasingly bizarre that young players would want to join that 'project'.

Where does the playing time come from?
Yeah makes a complete mockery of those on here that say things like "Why would a good LB come to be understudy to Udogie!!".

They somehow convinced Neto he would play ahead of Palmer, Madueke, Mudryk etc.

Money talks.

Links seem dead to more players for us at the moment. Not a complaint, merely an observation
I’d be hesitant to say that no press links = no transfer movement, of course… but yeah, to me it seems unlikely that we see any players actually be brought in this week pre Leicester.

I think we are still going to make one last move for Eze, which will of course fail, predictably. Ange will say something like “there will be movement” in a presser.

My prediction is that we get a winger name later this month, likely after Leicester, but just a name, and probably that saga lasts until around deadline day. Possibly go in for an LB.

But yeah, it’s clear that Neto was the one, and we’re now up a creek without a paddle in terms of finding a first team quality winger.

He can play on both wings. I have no idea why you decided that we can't buy another LB cause no-one wants to compete with Udogie, it's not an opinion I've seen here.
Yesterday for example:

LB seems to be the one area we are struggling and it’ll be a tough one to do. I’d love to see us get Antonee Robinson, but doubt he’d come to be an obvious understudy to Udogie.

It is a common excuse that gets rolled out. Similar was said about CB before we signed Dragusin.

It's so small time.

I can't remember ever seeing Son play RW for us tbh.

Not saying he hasn't. Just nothing springs to the top of my head when I hear Son and right wing for Spurs.

So I don't see a scenario where Son moves to the opposite side to accommodate.

I don't think we sign Eze regardless, but if we do will be interesting to see what we've got planned.
I don't recall him starting on the right, but I can recall a few occasions where he's switched to that flank. He's scored a few bangers coming from that side of the pitch, curling it in with his left.

I think now they have bought Solanke that the only incomings will be loans if available. It will be last minute and will depend on availability but with our lack of availability for non home grown players in Europe may only be registered for domestic matches.
